*Tough* shoot, all categories shoot out to 30 yards. (I heard 'rumors' that a few targets were a yard or two over that limit.)
'Known' classes are allowed to use range finders.

I'm planning to shoot at RI next month, after bribing, excuse me, begging Bob C to set the traditional stakes a bit easier ;-)
I still expect some humbling...

ASA targets use the 12 ring, so 360 for a 30 target round.
That 12 ring is *tiny* so not a big factor for most traditional shooters. Also it's set on the edge of the 10 so missing it has a 50-50 chance of ending up in the 8.
The top two in the picture show the difference in scoring. ASA uses the lower 12 unless you call the upper 12 before shooting. The 14 is used for major tournaments only.

Results for the ASA shoot in New Hampshire this past weekend. Not a big turnout for stick shooters, suspect many were at Fathers Day cookouts or other shoots.

ASA New England championship shoot today and tomorrow.
I'm shooting but didn't make two qualifiers so just going for the fun. (And maybe a few pictures.)
Groton puts on an excellent and challenging course if you want to see how humbling 3-D can be ;-)

Small 'sample size' but I think it shows that 'known distance' and 'string walking' work better at longer distances. Most targets were pushing the 30-yard class spec.
