I watched a good video last night. Ryan Gill of Hunt Primitive showed how to make an arrow with stone age tools. Building a fire by friction, straightening hardwood shafts, scraping with stone scrapers, fletching and cutting notches with stone.

Something I never knew was that stone points had a small V in the base so they would fit the V in the notch that is naturally left by cutting the notch with stone.

He does not show the stone knapping because he has another video all about that. He has a business making Primitive archery tackle for sale and also hunting with it.

He also kills a Bison with an atlatl and a bow.

I think it is interesting to watch. You might too. The YouTube channel is Huntprimitive.

I've seen many of Ryan's videos and he is really into his primitive archery. Not my cup of tea, but I sure respect his love for the sport.

Learn to make these first the rest should be easy. Check out Shawn woods (I think) vidios on this stuff.I find knapping difficult but bad arthritis and diminishing eye sight don't help either.
