Does it do any harm to store your bow and streing like this?

Not really. Usually the tension is so light that it's not detrimental.

They say no but I don't and wouldn't do it. Hang bows or lay bows on the floor. Do not lean bows for an extended period of time.
Hard to hang a bow strung backwards.

Very handy way to hang them. Been done that way for years.

It's ok only if you are trying to turn it into a girly bow. Sheesh!! Reversing the string direction like that takes the power out of a manly bow.
All kidding aside, I expect in the future it will be mandated by law that all assault stickbows be stored in an unfireable position. haha

The only adverse effect I have ever seen from it is, it leads some to believe it is the way to string & shoot the bow. :-D

Seen several bows strung backwards on the Ebay as well. It crossed my mind they were deliberately strung backwards to show bow wasn't used all that much and priced a bit higher.

My dad use to do that w/ his recurves all the time. And....the father and son thing, so did I. Until I had one break. If you do it, make sure the sting is fairly loose or bad things can and will happen.

Not too many years ago I saw a bow in a yard sale strung backwards. I asked about it trepidaciously, hoping it had not been drawn that way. A very eager teen something boy snatched it up to show me how good the bow was and how "strong" it(he) was. Yes, he drew it as you might have expected, and a four fingered grip on the string drawn past his ear, which produced a faint TICK noise, which must have sounded like a clicker to him, as he dry fired the bow. I politely smiled and said, no thanks. I was, sadly, a beautiful recurve, zebrawood and all, no drill holes, cracks or crazing. Amazing how quickly ignorance can ruin something
