Well, maybe no so fancy, but the Boxcall quiver cover on the old two piece Kwickee looks good to me.

I like what you did with the hood cover. Looks good. Better then not protected at all.

Well, what you can't see is I have some ethafoam glued into the hood for the broadheads to seat into and that helps keep the hood in place too. The cover that Dan made stretches over the hood and actually protects the sides of it too, so I feel pretty safe with that setup.

Maybe take a close up picture so us old guys can see it better. And for Batman too.;)

And yes, I do know the cover normally clips to the inside arrow and open on the front side. I like it this way better as it gives better protection for the broadheads.

Nice custom job. I lived dangerously back in the late 60’s early 70’s with a KwiKee quiver with no hood on my 52” Browning Nomad Stalker. Had several close calls with the exposed broadheads but was lucky. Your option is a much safer and better looking way to go. A definite improvement.

I think Whiffen Arch. who made the Hush quiver also offered an option clip on BH shield like the Kwikkee but simpler. Is that one of those made for the Hush by chance ?

Looks good.

Oddly enough I always liked that quiver. A friend of mine used to cover the hoods with leather. Made a very lightweight, nice looking and functional quiver.

The Quiffer was a completely different setup, I had one and didn't keep it long. There were a bunch of them that came along in the late 60's and into the 70's. The 1971 Robin Hood catalog shows 14 different models of bow quivers.

I still like this quiver and still use it, just want to make it as safe as is possible. It's light weight and you can take it off with the arrows in it if you need to. And did I mention it's light weight? :) At my age now that is a big bonus.

George those wary Pa. whitetails might go for the quiver but not those pinky puder feathers.

Matches my camouflage, JR. :)

I always wondered what you did with the hood when you were down to your last arrow?

I still Have one in basement. Lost the hood though.

I used a 2pc Kwickee with the hood on a longbow a few years ago. It worked good and was light and felt good on the bow. I had to wrap a little thread around my Judo spring because it made a vibrating noise. The thread showed wind direction also.

Thats neet. I remember those quivers with the snap on hood..it was the first bow quiver I ever had.

I never got down to my last arrow Steve, but if I did I would probably just get out of the woods. :)

I like the old Browning, George.

November. Do these hoods attach?

From: George D. Stout
Date: 16-Jan-22

The hoods clip on to an arrow to stay in place. Not the most stable of situations but the quiver is so light and maneuverable it's worth working with. Mostly you just consider it a 3 arrow quiver that holds 4 arrows. :)

I think it goes well with that Nomad:)

Be cool to see a updated version of these. They were so affordable and light weight.

Hey George, I like it!

I was thinking of getting one of those for use on some of my old 50's vintage L/H Bears,as I have no left hand bow quivers. BUT...I found out real fast they aint 3-4 bucks anymore. More like 30.00! ....I DON'T THINK SO!
