I would like to hear your experience with the CX Herritage 90 shaft.

What bows are you shooting them out of? What length do you shoot? Head Weight?

I am thinking of trying some out of my bows that are 45-50# @ 28". I would need to leave them at 29" for my use.

For that matter, if anyone is willing to send me one at 29" I would pay for shipping and then send it back to you.

i shoot a47 pound longbow by thunderstick. they shoot greatleave them 29inches and i put on 145 grain points. my draw is 28 inches. they fly like a dart. trying to find the cheapest place to get them.

I shoot them out of a 45lb PSAX, a 44lb PAX, a 43lb single piece 1969 Widow, a 45lb longbow and a 47lb selfbow.

They are tough and consistant shaft. A 28 inch arrow with 125 grain point weighs 420 grains. More than enough to do anything you want to without adding extra weight. They spine test at 57lb on the old spine tester. The inserts that come with them fit correctly and the nocks that come with them are tough. You have to hit one with another arrow to bust them.

I sold a few hundred dz of the 90s last year. I never saw any 90 inserts without the knurl. Maybe someone got them mixed up with another insert. The 90s are a top quality shaft. The biggest negative with them is that they are too small diameter to accept the brass inserts and weight tubes. And, at only 29", they are too short for some shooters.

If your draw length is or less than 28", they're a great arrow for 45 to 50#'s.

I shoot them out of longbows from 44-48@27. These are not cut to center and still require brass inserts and 250 grain point for me. I tend to need a weaker spine than most. Must be my poor release. I love them and haven't tore one up yet.

All of the inserts that I glued in always had the knurled inserts. They are a great shaft for draw lenghts of up to 28"

I shot them on a 52# Hummingbird longbow the length was 29". I used a 165 grain field tip. They shot well and were a little heavier than GT 3555's. The only reason I switched was I started drawing longer and went to 30.5" GT 3555's. The only problem I had was the knocks they are a weird size and they broke easily.LH

I shoot mine out of a Leon Stewart 3 piece slammer longbow, 55@28 and my draw lenght is a true 27. I cut them to 28 inches and shoot a 175 gr. FP and a 195 grain broadhead for hunting. The same arrow shoots out of my Silvertip curve which is 52@28. I shoot the full length uncut 29 icnh shaft out of my Leon Stewart Slammer one piece which is 47@28 with the same 175 gr. FP (again my draw is 27). My experience with them is that they weight out nicely, are tough and fly great out of all my bows. You just need to order CX Thunderstorm knocks as they are a unique, same with aluminum inserts if you want extras. The CX 90 is my go to shaft for hunting. I have been practicing with the same three shafts for about 4 months and I shoot everyday.

They are an excellent arrow if they fit your need for an arrow.I have them and shoot them from a couple of my lighter bows.A couple of notes, they are only 29" long, they are 9/32" diameter so they standard 5/16" brass inserts or add on weights will not work.I made my own custom 50 gr. brass inserts, they came out to 42 grs. after filing them down to fit.I get with them and 175 gr. point a 540 gr. arrow with a .531 spine which works out great for a couple of my bows.

I think the CX arrows are as good as any out there, but for my money, I stay with Gold Tip. They are made here in the USA, and are competitively priced in line with CX, Which are made in Korea. I am not bashing, just giving my opinion. :-)

I have been using them from my 46# Bob Lee Longbow at their full 29". I am using the 100gr brass inserts that were turned (end up around 85gr) to fit them along with 145gr heads. It sounds as if this is no longer an option with Sipsey River which is where I got mine.

If you cannot weighted inserts to fit them you will need to use heavy 200+ grain heads to get them to tune from a bow in that poundage range.

Without the availability of inserts or heavy heads I would look elsewhere.

i dont understand using inserts and heavy heads upfront to get these shafts to tune i shoot 47 p0unds my two friendsshoot 45 pounds. we shoot full length and 145 grain tips and theyshoot great.

the 90's now come in 31 inch lengths. The maker changed them this year.

I use heavier inserts and heavier points for tuning my arrows.Everyone is different, different draw lengths, risers cut to center, past center or cut off center. What works for someone may not work for some one else.Carbons can be very versatile with tuning,I shoot my CE 90's out of a couple different bows by simply changing the point weight.

I just got 2 dozen from Lancaster and they measured 30.25" BOP to throat of the nock.

I would love to find some Carbon Express Heritage 90 shafts. I am running low.
