Except for the cattle rancher, it looks like I'm the only farmer on the Wall. That even a worst percentage than even in the real world! I'm the fifth generation on what is now a 400 grain farm.

Since agriculture has hit such desparate times, I've also run a business for a number of years. It's turned in to something very signifcant as time has passed.

I do distribution and serve as a Sales Manager for a large environmental technology company. I specialize in residential and commercial air and water purification. It's a lot of fun, and I get to really help people. I even have three nationally known bowyers as commercial clients! As a little sideline that will probably send my post up in flames, I sell a 2WD motorocycle/ATV called a "Rokon" (to be used only in an ethical and responisble manner!!!).

I be glad to give my website if anyone would like to look at doing some business together or check out what I market.

That's my living, and I'm stickin' to it!

I guess I had better weigh-in I am a full time farmer and rancher in southwestern Nebraska. My farm is dryland only and mother nature has certainly put the emphasis on "dry". This is as dry as I can remember in my 53 years. Many people don't understand that farming is a way of life, more than a job it is who you are. Very similar to bowhunting. So when mother nature bucks you off, you get up and try again. I really enjoy this site because it can be a great stress reliever(especialy the humorus ones). StateLine Rich (SLRich).

Wasn't on here back in 2000. Back then I would have been a machine operator/machinist, doing a little programming, but mainly set-up and run. After 34 + years at same place, they moved away, so started over in 2005 for new company and retired in 2015. Full time care giver for my wife from then till I lost here this passed July. Now "fully" retired, but starting to "fall apart", worst part of getting older! Enjoy shooting my longbows and making a few arrows as needed, going to start trying string making? Have an osage stave I've been "working" on for awhile, so now with more time I should get serious?

Aside from what I was able to stash away for retirement, I figure all other working people pay me to stay home, on social security. The "honeydo" list is never ending, and when I think about how I seldom dip into my tool bag, stuff breaks and I'm on it.

Usually when someone asks what I do, I tell them they have to guess.

I pull into the dock, Unload the booty onto the deck, Climb the rigging and hoist the colors.

I do this while wearing all black, I carry many instruments of destruction You'll never see me doing my job, unless I want you to If you do see me doing my job, Its already done.
