I just saw an ad in the new TBM for Harrison Viper Longbows. Has anyone shot or seen his new bow? I have an HSS TD and it’s one of my favorite bows.

I bought the last bow he built according to Jack. 7 months and was supposed to be 3 months but he had back issues then ultimately surgery he said.. He loved to talk, especially politics . Really enjoyed our conversations..

I honestly don’t know too much about them. He had called me when he first came out with the viper and asked if I wanted to pick up where Leo left off and I said absolutely and that’s the last I heard. Jack has had some bad luck regarding some old injuries and health issues. I’d love to get my hands on one of these.

I wish I still had my Black Wolf he made me.

Last i knew Jim Fisk had bought out Harrison and after trained by Jack, he moved the Business to Texas a few years ago. Not sure of ownership now. .

The website has Fisk longbows in Erie IL.

That’s pretty strange. I have a new issue with TBM and I can’t find that ad anywhere.

Hey Dan, the ad is on page 61 in my issue

Would that be the June/July issue? It is not in my April/May issue.

Harrison longbows and Fisk longbows have nothing to do with each other. They’re 2 different companies.

I have owned two HSS models and an American Wolf.

One of my favorite bows ever was a Jack Harrison HHC (Howard Hill Commemorative). It delammed on me. I won’t put all the blame on the bow. I was shooting a skinny string on it and I may have been over drawing it a little bit while doing shooting drills. Jack always insisted people use endless loop strings on his bows. I sent it back to him to see if he could repair it. It had his nice take-down system too. Got a message from him one day that said he had fixed it and it was ready for a new finish. Then he ran into health problems again, more surgery, etc. Didn’t hear from him for several months and when I did make contact again he said he could find the bow anywhere. Well, I almost had it back. It would have been nice. Jack felt bad about not finding the bow and sent me one of his personal bows, no charge.

I hope he is enjoying good health and has a good helper in the shop.

I would love to see one of these new models. Jack was always pushing the envelope.

Fisk and Harrison have nothing to do with each other these days. They’re two different companies.

That bow looks like it has some Gary Sentman influence. Nice profile.

I thought the exact same thing Danny.

Thanks Justin. It’s funny that Harrison and San Marco, after years of perfecting their craft, arrived at a similar design.

The long stiff riser looks influenced by the 21st century/Jim Ploen designs.
