I’m going to order one soon and see that Amazon has the best prices, but is there a preferred vendor or any to stay away from?

Big Jim sells the Elite version, for a little bump in price you get a better bow

Me and a few other members bought this one from Obert and couldn't be happier. $80 for the 50# model.

My friend bought his directly from Mandarin Duck in China. The price was a little higher back then but shipping was free. The weight was correct & the bow was flawless. We strung it & starting shooting tight groups on target right away. >>>-----> Ken

Agree with 2 bears, Mandarin Duck, order direct. They have the "original" best quality Black Hunter and they are great people to deal with. Shipping is fast.

Everyone's on board. So buy from someone who set one up and is selling for whatever 1000's of picky reasons. Goto on starter bows. Buy for kids in neighborhood.

So to add to this. Buying from Big Jim, Twig, I imagine Hitman, and Lancaster Archery's Ember you are more likely to get the poundage you want. From them the bows are a little more in cost, but you have someone you can deal directly with. The one I bought through either Ebay or Amazon ( don't remember which it was) I ordered 50# limbs for the bow I purchased and got 47# limbs (they say 50#). I've heard others say the poundage limbs they've ordered, has been hit and miss when ordering online. So just be aware of that when you decide to purchase. Also some companies from China use 1 alignment pin and some use 2 alignment pins for their limb mounting system. Just some things to be aware of if you didn't already know. The bow itself, IS a great bow for the money. DANNY

A couple years ago I bought a Sinoart BH longbow thru amazon . I really like that bow . I paid about the same price as Big Jim sells them for. I would like to try sinoarts 58 inch recurve but I need another bow like I need more fishing tackle. You can save a little money buying thru the big auction or amazon or you can support a small business like twig, hitman, or big jim and possibly avoid having to send it back for incorrect weight or other problems . Its incredible these bows can be bought for $80 . I have considered selling a couple custom bows and buying more el cheapo foreign imports I like mine so much . the grip just seems to fit me .

I have 2 Black Hunters. One is a long bow and the other is a recurve. Both are 60/45/28. They are both Sinoart fitted with F/F strings and left handed. I have nothing bad to say about either one. You won't be disappointed in the least.Good luck.

I ordered the Messa recurve (aka, Big Jim's Black Hunter Elite) directly from Deerseekerarchery.com -- $139.00 delivered.

Got it quickly, weight spot-on and finish was excellent. It accepts all Black Hunter limbs that have the tapers. They also offer longbow limbs.

Mandarian Duck does it have the screw in bolt and one stud to keep it straight?
