Steve Gorr liked to use the fur tracers also to help him see his arrow flight.

They do work well. Turkey Marabou works really well also.

I don't know why I got out of the habit of installing tracers. I love them. Maybe this will get me going again. Thanks, >>>>------> Ken

How are the Turkey Marabou feathers attached to the shaft? Is there a little strip of skin left 0n them? Thanks, >>>-----> Ken

Ken..the marabou is on a stem like a wing feather. The stems can be thicker or thinner just depending on where the feather comes from.

Can you use them with the newer style push-in nocks on a lot of aluminum and all carbons?

Yes...they are typically fastened between the nock and the fletching.

Just like palmering/wrapping hackle on a wooly worm Bob or even tighten up like tackling a wet fly.

I install them this. (I had a build a long at one time)
I trim about 3” of maribou to 1/4” high. (Trust me that makes a nice ball) glue one end at 90* to the shaft right behind the fletching. Let that dry GOOD. Apply glue to either the shaft (about 1/4” wide) or the tracer. Clip a hemostat on the end of the maribou. Turn the shaft to wind the maribou tight behind the fletchings. Secure the shaft so it doesn’t unwind and let it dry.
