Well Jeff, “Sagebrush” inspired me to make a knife. I cut the shape out of an old Circular saw blade.

Jeff gave me the wood for the handle. He’s a very generous guy. Thanks again Jeff.

Not finished yet. But you can get the idea. I need to put an edge on the blade. And seal the wood. I’ll probably use one coat poly. Should make That grain pop. Ok so what do you think? Don’t quit my day job?;)

Another view. I used an angle grinder to cut out the shape of the blade. Jeff told me a plasma cutter works a lot better.

Looks like it should make a handy knife. it is always a good thing to repurpose something into something that can use again.

I like your knife, Don. Was that a 12" blade it came from?

Steve, This knife came from a 10” Circular saw blade. I made the blade 4 1/4” and the handle 5”. Giving you a 9 1/4” knife over all.

Mike, Probably not. Some knives don’t have them. Like the Nessmuk & Kephart for example. I might add a guard to a future knife though. I’m not ruling it out. You know. Never say never. I’m new at this. But having fun.
