Should I put on my belt sander to round off corners SLIGHTLY on some limb butts to better match a riser I'll probably have to take of a sixteenth of an inch, max.

120 should be fine.

Really?... that course?

My first thought was like a 240, so I didn't damage fiberglass limbs, then coat it with a sealer

Careful with to fine. You will burn the end grain like really hot. Like what was said 120. Just be careful.

120 won't hurt the glass but if you're only taking off a little it's probably best to use a sanding block or a piece of wood with 120 grit. You can clean it up with 220. Power equipment is great for taking off a lot of material but for fine work, unless you are experienced, hand work is better.

I should have mentioned that a file makes removing material easy. It’s my primary tool for making changes to risers and limbs. Then just sand out the file marks.

I use 50 grit on my belt sanders finish with 220 on a rotary sander .
