Are these the Fred Eichler edition? I Love the looks of them. Nothing against Fred but don’t like folks name on my arrows.

I just tuned up a bow with 5mm axis sport 600's. They are full length with standard hit inserts, 2" of 1918 footing and a broadhead adaptor ring. They are 450 grains out of my #40 ilf. They hit like a hammer. I was shooting 2114 alum out of a different bow and the difference is significant.

I love my 5mm Axis but I’m sold on the HIT inserts, no half-outs for me. I wouldn’t use the “Fred”s either, but the basic shaft is a leftover from the Beamon Black Max.

Good to hear on the axis sport Briar I have some on backorder with the half outs. I might not use the half outs. Yes Felipe I am not a fan of the name on the shaft but they do look good. I used a lot of the 5mm traditional ten years ago they came with brass inserts I switched to centershots when the 5mm dropped the brass inserts not much later the centershots dropped the brass inserts. I might fiddle with a footing.

I still have 1 1/2 dozen Black Max arrows and 2 dozen MFX arrows. What is comparable to those shafts? I don't want the Freddy name or all the factory crown dip finish. 5 mm Axis sport shafts?

I have shot the Easton Axis for years, nice arrows and durable. YET, I will NOT buy an arrow with Fred’s name on it. I noticed when FRED NAME was added the price went up! Omg! Enough commercialization of trad shooters. Apparently the management doesn’t understand the traditional archers mindset. Just saying.

Easton is one name, I can handle that…paying for another name I don't want is problematic. I like the shafts, I wonder if all that white stuff will come off ith acetone?

The axis sport shafts are .005 rated and a little shorter. Good value for an axis shaft. Jimmyjumper at the time and now I don't feel like fletching. I have several of the cheaper 6.5 legacy's. Something different for this decade. I am sure that crown would come off with acetone.

I've been spring cleaning the basement. Recently found all my fletching gear feathers, burners and all that. Still don't feel like doing it.i suppose one day I will now that I can find the gear.

Haha they make 4mm as well. Yes says made in china on the box. I can't be bothered to feather fletch for the price difference of shafts. Paint marker take his name off.

I really like the Axis and hit system, used them much. If they are made in China or signed by Fred I can get around that but they are not selling points; the shaft is stand- alone good. I will tell you that the blacks wear better, the wood laminating splinters off.
