There was one on the classified a month or so back. Maybe it’s still there

Here is the one you ordered from Screaming Eagle.

My memory may be faulty but as I recall certain risers require specific limbs to fit properly. Early risers , I believe used ball bearing between riser and limbs. Larry Hatfield would be the one to query.

Is "alphamale" a real poster?

John, you're right. Some of the earlier models did use ball bearings between the limbs and riser. I believe it was some time in the late 90's, maybe, that they switched over to using pins for alignment.

My first new recurve was a Martin Hatfield TD I still have it. It is a very good bow . I think I have had it for about thirty years and have taken a number of deer with it.

I remember a guy not long ago had 2 of them, 65 and 70 I think. Let me see if I can run them down. I too like a Hatfield

I have a wrong handed 55# that I would part with, probably doesn't help you though. I like the bow, just too heavy for me. I keep my eye out for lighter limbs, but they don't come up too often.

The one pictured is an older model Hadfield about 1995-1998 I think, may have gone a little earlier. If memory serves me right it is the same riser they used for the Martin Warthog (compound) during that time frame. The Martin MTD was the one with the ball bearings (I use to have one of those) was the predecessor to the Hatfield, and I believe it also used an earlier Martin Wart Hog riser. About 1999 they changed the riser it was tan (might have been Shedua) with a red arcing stripe through it (I have one of those) and it used a similar limb pin set up as the one shown. DANNY

Yes Alphamale is a real poster, archer, hunter, and snake catcher. Many here have got skins from him. I also have two Hatfield's Excellent bows. I would never be without one. >>>>-----> Ken

Just do a search for his handle in the little search box at the top of this page and see how many posts the dude has and then ask if he is a real poster. LOL

It did have the same handle as the Warthog my wife has a wart hog . I had one of the takedown recurves and didnt think much of it I sold it . I though it a hard bow to shoot . Although in the 80s my wife was the best woman shooter in the state with her warthog she won every tournament she entered .
