Today's shot will be the long bomb. Shoot from as far as you dare, then follow it up with a 2nd shot.
God bless,

60 paces is about as far as I can get and still see what I'm shooting at with my new target area set up. Gives me a nice realistic shot at a partially obscured elk that is farther way than I'd ever attempt on real elk.

And here's exactly why I'd never take a shot like that...
First shot was a 300gr tipped tapered chundoo. Went right under him but the old guy didn't notice and just kept on braying. The ill advised follow up was taken with a 265gr tipped tapered POC and nailed the poor fella in not so good a spot...for either of us. Be a long day tracking this unfortunate soul I'm afraid.
To add to ill advisement I took these shots with my EDB Harvey Archery Ferret 50"52# curve. An EDB wouldn't be my first choice for such a chuck.
Y'all have a great weekend and thanks for the call CD.

Nice shooting! 40 yds is a long shot... 60 is crazy long, but super fun! Love seeing the arc of the arrow.

Great shooting yesterday everyone! I’m hoping to try FS today and see how this bruised finger holds up.
