The Turkey population has dropped the last couple of years. I heard a rumor they might use hybrid Turkeys to get the numbers up. These hybrids are bred with Wild birds. They're supposed to be a lot bigger, up to 30 pounds and a lot more aggressive. In fact they've been known to attack and kill Dogs, Cats, Possums, Racoons and other predators. They'd would look like a wild bird or could be bronze or white. On rare occasions they've even attacked humans. They have even bred the birds with three legs. Nobody knows how the three legged birds taste because no one has ever caught one. Have a happy April fools day.

Sign me up for two necks!
Twice the feathers would be nice, but doubling the odds with a guillotine head sounds OK to me....
We actually had one Tom locally that got a little bit territorial with people, and one day he came up at my mother-in-law‘s face with spurs thrashing… I thought the idea of being attacked by a turkey sounded pretty comical when people started complaining about it, but when my 75-year-old MIL was on the ground trying to cover up to keep from being raked over, it seemed a lot more serious.

I know exactly how they taste and its just like turkey's taste a little gamely. I've had them up to 35 pounds monster birds. When they are puffed out structing and drumming they look 50 pounds but they aren't. Yes they are chasers and killers and very violent and all sorts of colors in SNJ. I have seen plenty of Ghost birds and Hybrids.
The state trapped a bunch of birds in SNJ and took them N to build back birds up N. and didn't test them and birds had turkey pox so you know what happened.
Trapped them on the border took north and killed more birds that made a lot of sense. How we found this out was through our Federation.
Turkeys walk around in SNJ like chickens they are all over. Spring tags in SNJ are coveted and state needs to give more tags. Cant put a in them like this. They can hold up under Coyote pressures too.
