Stopped at a pawnshop today and found this nice Bear Kodiak Magnum that’s 45lb hanging up on the wall. Everyone has there favorites and mine are the green ones. Once I put new shelf material on it and get a new string I will put some arrows through it. I’m mainly a Longbow guy but I do like my Bear bows. Especially when I pick them up cheap !

Cool bow Joey! I picked up a 45# KMag recently also. You got a WAY better deal than me, LOL! Pleasantly surprised how well it shoots.

I have owned about a dozen Kodiak Magnums in the past few years. Always end up trading or letting a friend talk me out of them because I am more of a Longbow person. The green one I used to have was my favorite out of the bunch but like said above a friend talked me out of it. When I seen this one I couldn’t buy it quick enough. This one is staying with me !

I hate to think of all of the old traditional bows that went in landfills or standing in the corners of hot attics in Granma's house around the country.

Great Find ! The last Kodiak Greenie I found for $100 and posted a pic of her on Facebook. I received an instant message within 3 minutes asking if I was selling it. No no no. gunr

I was really lucky to come across it. For me the 45lb is perfect in that little bow because my draw is 29 1/2 inches. So it puts the draw weight right where I like it. When I found it I felt like it was put there for me . LOL

I have the exact bow,it was my first real recurve. I still have it,i gave it to a kid once and actually got it back 3 years later, a long story behind that...

Had one just like it, as I recall it was 41 or 42 lbs. Gifted to my nephew for his graduation present. As far as I know, he still has it. He once said it was the only bow he needs.

Well I put the new Bear rest , new vapor trail string with beaver balls, and set the brace and knocking point today. Shot great ! This is my first two shots from 20 yards. After that everything got better. Will hit the woods later this week and hopefully get a turkey with it.

I found a 40# grizzly in a thrift store a few years back for a 100$. I told myself if I come back in two weeks and its still there , its meant to be mine. went back two weeks later with a 10% off coupon and now I have my first bear bow. Its one of my favorites.

I have every year of Kodiak Magnum....except the green ones. Just never cared for the green. Sold off all the green models I had . ...they clashed with all the classy looking earlier models! ;)

From: Kelly
Date: 05-May-21

Am on the search for lightweight(under 40#) Kodiak Magnums, RH that is. Have a couple heavier than 40#’ers that are classics to trade.

My two greenies are 40# and 35#, they are not going anywhere until I pass and maybe not even then.
