Trying to bare shaft tune my arrows. My bow setup is 43# with a 27.5" draw. I want to shoot 300 grains up front. 400 spine shafts are showing weak? Do u think that is correct? Should I get some 350 shats and try them?

Maybe drop your point weight instead. You have waaaay more than enough up front. Try 200 grains and see what it does. Also much cheaper to vary point weight than buy all new shafts.

What kind of bow and limbs are you shooting Tradmike?
I have had a couple bows set up similar and the 400's are probably not weak unless they are too long.
Also what arrows?
Actually mine had 375 gr. counting the halfout. How much is enough is a personal decision.

Need a lot more information.
As was asked, what kind of bow, how long are the arrows, what kind of string, what are you using to determine the arrow is weak, what kind of target are you using, do you have the target at chest height or nearly so?

Here it is again, that need for really heavy points. I reckon the youngsters know more than I about that advantage. I'm 73. Bow hunting since I was 16. Never killed a deer that was not a pass thru and never used a head heavier than 125. Never considered weight per inch. Never considered a hunting head with more than two cutting edges. I just tune by shafts to my bow and go hunting. I reckon it is like all else--the experience of the of the old is lost on the young. Oh, BTW, I never lost an arrow shot deer. A heart or double lung shot has nothing to do FOC. That said, I never shot at game bigger than deer.

They are not too weak, but again, the information needs to be more complete...bow, string, arrow length you want, center shot, yada, yada, yada. This ain't rocket surgery. :)

My guess is that your to stiff & your getting a false weak( arrow is hitting the side plate).

Great googly-moogly folks. You could pry hubcaps off with that shaft....it's too stiff for that setup...not weak.
