Many of you use Duco cement for fletching, but have you had the same problem I have, namely the hole in the tube is way to big to properly apply the glue to a feather.
Easy fix, the tube is soft metal, just use a flat faced pliers to pinch the tube end enough to leave the proper sized hole, about 1/16".
Like this.

Or as suggested earlier on this site, drill a small hole in the cap and plug with a small nail. Tied both and I think the cap works better.

You can buy small tips from Hobby Lobby that will fit those tubes. They are made for another brand of glue but they will work.

I use 2oz bottles with the same applicator tip as fletchtite tubes. Works just fine.

I actually started flattening the tube after reading somewhere about somebody doing that. Cannot recall who it was or where I read it but it works.

Hadn't thought of drilling the cap John, I'll have to try that too. It's nice to be able to come up with ideas that don't require more purchases.

Simple? How much more simple could one get than a stickpin or thumbtack through the original cap? WORKS SLICK!

I don't remember having a problem with it. Maybe just me, YMMV.

That stick pin idea will be on my next tube.
