That looks pretty nifty. So the feathers slide into that shaft?

Looks a lot easier than having to use the whole shaft. Nice.

The tool is made by Jerry Hill. I made the burner stand which is hooked up to a singer foot peddle I call Hot Rod. Rooty

Can you detail the stand that the tool sits in and how you've modified it?

I made it from scratch. Ribbon uprights are pex wingbacks bushed down to 1/4" for nipples. Nipples are drilled and capped with balancing caps. Tool rests on valley pipe stays left one has a plug threaded in. Right has top half cut off. Wingbacks are capped with 1-1/2 steel stud. Stand is trimmed with 2" neo pipe insulation. Rooty

The tool works in a Young burner as well. I prefer the tool to rest on the stands. The 10 amp charger and foot peddle is fast and convenient. Rooty

Thanks Rooty. The Valley pipe pieces were what I was most interested in. I’m building a burner with a 45 amp model train transformer and just bought a tool from Jerry. Your tool stand idea was great

Might be a few good days for burning. Rain and snow on the way. Rooty
