thought some guys might like to see this. My draw is 28.25 inches measured to the throat of the grip. Weight for each bow was dead on what was marked by Dan. Scale was a wesston bow scale. Arrows were all 3 fletch, 6mm FMJs. Each arrow weight was shot 10 times, 3 separate trials, averages are shown. All shots were with 3 FPS on the chrono.

60" Toelke Chinook - 46@29", Brace 7.25" 450 grain arrow - 183,186,183 530 grain arrow - 171,170,171 580 grain arrow - 163,164,164

62" Toelke Whip - 44@28", Brace 7.25" 450 grain arrow - 175,175,175 530 grain arrow - 167,166,165 580 grain arrow - 164,165,165

64" Toelke Whip - 47@29" Brace 7.75" 450 grain arrow - 180,181,179 530 grain arrow - 169,170,168 580 grain arrow - 163,165,164

So you’re drawing 30” using the AMO standard (throat of the grip plus 1.75”)? Very interesting how the numbers start to come together with heavier arrow. Thanks for posting!

Great information!! The Chinook is one Toelke that ive yet to own, but i love my Pika and Whip. Toelkes are the best!

Craig- Yes, that is correct, i draw just about 30" using AMO standard. Right at 28.25 to the deepest part of the grip.

I should be able to do the lynx, whistler and hopefully a pika this weekend. I will post the numbers asap

Always great when guys post their bows/speeds... and you did it apples to apples. Hearing that a bow shot 192 fps is useless without "the rest" of the information.

Looks like based on the heavy arrow results both bows are about equal from an efficiency stand point.

Very interesting.

Thanks for posting. Love my Pika and have a custom Chinook on the way next month. Excited is an understatement!

Thanks for sharing.... One of these days I am going to get a chrono. We had a sporting good store that had an indoor range with a chrono, I loved to shoot it to check my release.

You simply can’t beat a Toelke on all points, beauty, speed, accuracy, quietness

I just got my first Chinook to begin my trad journey. I see that I have a lot more to try.

Dan and Jared made me 60" Chinook 44# @28", classic grig. The bow arrived in November last year. I like this bow more and more every day. I'll try to chrono it later today.

Would love to see the results with 650-700 grain arrows.

Thanks for sharing

so is the weight you posting from throat of grip,,

From: jmorgan
Date: 27-Jan-21

yes, i measured the weight at my draw length - i am still a little confused about how bowyers measure and mark weight, but i measured my draw from nock groove to the deepest part of the grip - for me that was 28.25".

From: jimwright

Draw length is perhaps more commonly measured as the distance from the string to the back of the riser at full draw.

From: Glunt@work
Date: 27-Jan-21

Your draw length would be 30" officially but most folks measure it as Jimwright stated.

What Glunt said as per AMO specifications.

60" Chinook 44# @28", classic grip. Pulling 28"

400 grains = 182 fps 450 grains = 175 fps 500 grains = 165 fps

Average of 3 shots readings each.

I love this bow even more now!
