Have a dozen hardwood arrows I’d like to strip, refinish and refletch. They are ash.

The last dozen cedars took a VERY long time.

What do you recommend besides elbow grease??

Any good varnish/paint remover will work fine. I prefer the orange citrus based stuff.

Go to sherwin williams and get a pint of the product called Kutzit. Use this and steel wool. Wear gloves. Don’t get it on your skin.

I used to help my daddy refinish furniture. That stuff will remove anything.

This stuff. Works for removing paint from bows and arrows. I have used it on both.

For whatever the reason, the paint I tried to remove from a dozen cedars last summer was very difficult to get off. Maybe I used Mineral Spirits, but maybe it was acetone.

Going to the store today to see what is available. Thanks all.
