Finally got the bow finished and I've ran it threw 2 different chronographs. Shooting 384+ gr 500's at 28" of draw was getting 177fps. When I dropped down to 8gpp shooting 600's she was knocking at the door of 200fps for 198fps. Was using a 10 strand astro flight string no silencers. Brace at 7-1/2" from throat.
I'm off to shop to fletch a few arrows and get some finished pictures of the bow to post later. But that's how this design has shook out.

That's zippin right along. I'm using 450 gr. Arrows out of my 38# but I'm not to worried about speed.

Todd sold this one so fast that he didn't even have time to do his own flight test! A friend had challenged him to shoot it across a local lake; it would've needed to carry 180 yards to stay dry and win Todd the bet. He's keeping pretty quiet about how that worked out...but I don't think the challenge ever took place.
It looks like if he'd been shooting 9 gpp it would have flirted with 190 fps...and that's pretty darn quick for a finger release on a conventional materials recurve.

No Crooked, no lake shot. Winds not been in my favor. But "if" I get the chance before I turn the bow over I will. Its not going far any way and will be here on and off while I teach this young fellow the art of shooting traditional equipment
The way I built this bow probably has my dad rolling over in his grave. But I've learned some different perspectives than his also. I was hoping to break into the 190's @ 10gpp. A little tweaking might bring it into the 180's. But I don't feel this bow is a slouch by any means. IMHO though I don't think I'm going to get much more out of glass and wood with my current knowledge.

Thanks Fella's. Yes I think the design is a keeper. No handshock and for a bow of this design won't take much to make her pretty quiet. Shooting the 10 strand string with out anything on it was not making alot of noise
