been off line for a while, got the kid off to college and rest my business aims, no small tasks, anyway...decided to indulge myself into a hoyt buffalo, simply for the convenience, I love my long bows, but after a sabbatical from archery of three years or so,i figured it doesnt matter, rusty with a high handicap..anyone of you shoot the buffalo?

I shoot one, 50# shorts. Been shooting that one more than the dorado or satori lately.

I picked one up a year ago to use for shoulder surgery rehab. It has 34 pound limbs (f-3) and I would like to find some extra short limbs for mime also to use for hunting . Really like the low grip as I shoot a longbow .

I keep one strung up. 45 pound mediums for a 62" bow or 38 pound carbon 720s that scale about 47 on this riser. I love the grip and balance on the Buffalo. Someday I will try to find a similar Hoyt riser with ILF fittings.

Brad, the OMP night ridge riser has the same grip as the buffalo and is an ILF. I have a picture on the classifieds labeled ILF longbow. Here is another picture.

i just made a string from BCY-X strands, two part Flemish 16 strands total, put some felt on the limb string grooves and two small beaver balls,,, set the top limb about 3/8" positive tiller for three finger split.. smooth quiet bow,, brace height is about 8 3/8"...i am diggin this bow! of course i love my long bows, but this one is firing off my spring fever to shoot alot again!
