What is a good average price horsebow you reccommend? Tia

I would by the SKB to be honest. We have had them for years and they are of excellent quality and perform very nicely.

I was looking at those and liked it but a guy on youtube broke 2 in a row. I will check into them a little better since you had good luck

I used to have a ragim taiga 48", it was a good little shooter. Had a shelf so i just shot split finger like my other bows. Kinda wish i still had it but you know how that goes.

I don't know how he did it. I've drawn them to 33" and shot them with arrows as light as 6grs. per pound for years and never had an issue.

And in all honesty have never heard of any issues amongst all the thumbring/horsebow shooters I know.

some good reviews on this channel

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdnnPT5tB2Wx-LeOe4mu8Dw

if above link doesn't work, look for "Armin Hirmer".

He has been doing review for eastern style bow (including horsebows) for a while, and his review is thorough.

pvc like full synthetic bows, fiberglass limb bows, modern laminate bows (glass and carbon fiber), and full traditional horn and sinew.

lots of choices out there now compared to few years ago, so you are likely to find something that fits your need and budget. hope this helps.

>bad luck with the skb SKB -used to be- good, then something happened, and SAMICK changed. That was more than 6~7years ago as I understand it.

There was comparison between 'pre-chage' SKB and 'pose-change' SKB side by side on one of the forum back then, and they were totally different.

I was thinking about buying "Mind-50" based on 'pre-change' reviews back then, and saw loads of failure reports on 'post- change'and stayed away.

I don't think SAMICK even makes SKB or Mind-50 anymore.

there's so many Asiatic bows that are higher quality and better price now, I'd look around.

Check out Dave Mead bamboo horse bows on utube. Made in the USA. You can buy his kit,and put the bow together your self, or buy one already built. Priced right, and shoot with authority. Light ,and compact. He also makes a sinew backed bamboo horse bow, and recurve that performs better, and looks nice with snake skin backing, but you will pay more money for that one. He would appreciate your business, and never met ,or talked to the man. Just looked at his web sight.

Either the YMG or the Hwarang are imho the best Korean modern laminated bows. Depends on your budget and draw weight.
