I liked the lines of that bow. I "believe" Martin made them and used one of the older designs for this Barta longbow . Larry Hatfield knows all the answers on this one ;^)
Hope he is doing well (Larry), and chimes in to fill in the blanks .....
You can also use the keyword and do a search (top left of page) as this has been talked about many times before. Sure to be some good info following that path ;)
Personal observations .....never heard a bad word about the Barta Longbow ! Hard to find they are . Best with your quest my friend !

Please USE the search for keyword ‘Barta’; many about the bow ... many, many more about the man.

That's a cool picture of him at 3 Rivers with Dale. I liked the show a lot. It's a shame what happened to him.

Martin Bushmaster M-18 was the mold for the Barta Longbow I "believe" ;)
I also think someone had a great Bushmaster in the classies a few weeks back. Fine looking bow !

What Riverwolf said. Essentially a rebranded Bushmaster.

A true bow for a true traditional Bowhunter. And I don’t think he had WWTD? Inscribed on it rather some spiritual bible verses that meant a lot to him. It’s a shame we lost this last true ambassador to traditional Bowhunting.

They are great bows. They shoot pretty well. I have one I was fortunate enough to find and don’t hunt with it much because of how hard it is to find them. Bit of a collectors thing to me. Anyways you can’t go wrong with one and if you find two let me know I’ll buy the other one haha!

Rivers old nailed it. Martin bushmaster, and I own one and love it. Smooth, no stack and no shock, killed my biggest buck with it. I was a fanboys of Tred, amd drove 6 hrs round trip to three rivers to shoot one and buy it. It's one bow that will always be with me, and I paid the original price of 400, then they raised the price upto like 600 dollars. Picked one up off here in rt hand and gave it to my nephew so they do pop up but rare. Check some of the other archery classifies you might get lucky.
