I have a Striker Stinger r&d longbow. It has a small grip and I’m wondering if anyone has used a Posi-Grip? Easy to put on? Do you like the dimpled texture?

They are easy to put on.Just roll on.I like the ones Black widow has.Just the plain rubber, but the posi grip is nice too.Go to you tub,.theres a video showing ya how to roll the grip on.

I have two Kanati’s which are very similar. I tried that grip but prefer shur grip. Its easier to put on and the posi-grip seems to be slicker.

Good for more torque.

Bowmania- more torque isn’t good right?

I've found the lizard skin wraps work really well. i have some nerve damage in my bow hand a need the extra grip. BUT, as Bowmania notes, its a great way to add unwanted torque - so you need to be very aware of your grip

I have one on a longbow. I don’t like the look but it works and feels great.

Yes, torque isn't good. I don't use wraps on my risers either.

some say NO to any grip aid like checkering or stippling, it's pretty, but impedes your bow slipping into the web of the thumb/first finger V juncture THE SAME everytime, THEY SAY a slick n loose grip is best. ME I like a stippled or checkered grip, and a bit of a cushy/sticky grip like tennis racquet grip tape feels good on some of my warfs.....but I see the wisdom of the former views, too. a good discussion. Looks like I’ll try one the next order from 3 Rivers. Thanks everyone.

I see it this way, for what that's worth. If you feel your bow hand is slipping or not settling in you are going to "grab" the bow. You can keep grabbing the bow, or, you can buy a non slip grip cover and keep your bow hand open and relaxed. One torques the bow a bunch more than the other. Simply getting used to what you feel is a slippery feeling grip isn't the answer.

I have them on several longbows and really like them.

I have used the POSI grip’s on longbows and recurves for years with no torque problems. Everyone is different, the only way to knock is try. Good Luck.

Either one is fine. Only issue we have is in summer heat our bow hand turns black. But since the COVID I carry hand wipes in the car so I use one of those to get the black off.. I tried a wrap for tennis rackets or? but it was slick.

there awesome, that torque remark is bull..I can go into a half a dozen torque reasons, and a posi grip is not on the list..

I found a 4" section of bicycle tubing worked well

If you shoot with an open relaxed hand as shown in the vid. you can shoot a grip. All my self bows have leather, hemp, or cloth, or some other type of grip material. I have none on my recurves. Works for me either way. Grabbing the grip like you are choking a chicken is when you Can get into torque problems. At least it worked that way for me.

self adhesvise vet tape has worked very well for me.

Posi grip works well for me on my longbow, especially down here in Texas in summer time with all the sweating.

I didn’t consider the sweat issue. Good tip. Thanks.

I put a rubber grip on two of my bows and my groups tightened .

I have 1/2 a Posi grip on a Pronghorn that I modified a bit to be smaller around the throat. Works good but just a hair big if I wanted it up in the actual throat. I use about a 2" piece that sits below the throat. The Stinger looks like it has enough meat to where the grip would be tight.
