So they now have been out for several years and wondering of anyone is really sold on them. I still have not tried one and would like to hear some opinions on how anyone likes them.

How costly are the vests, sounds like a good investment if they work well.

My friend has one and loves it. He uses it under another jacket when it is cold in Pa. Walk in with it turned off and after a 1/2 hour or so he puts it on. I'm not sure how long it lasts but it has not run out of juice on a morning sit which is about five hours.

I bought one in Dec but only had to turn it on a couple times because the weather has been warm. When I did use it it worked really well.

I'm planning on ordering one in the next couple weeks. I just started seriously looking online last night. So far I've found them from about $70.00 up to $200. The older I get, the more I hate the cold! I'd like to hear from people who have them too.

I've used mine a few times since receiving it for Christmas. I wear it on top of my base layer where it can do the most good, then layer over it. Worth having one. The battery life depends on how high you operate it.

“ The older I get, the more I hate the cold!”
I don’t hate the cold at all, but I sure must’ve done something to ?!$$ IT off!
On the one hand, this is one of those levels of technology that feels like it ought to cross a line… But then again…

PNUMA, fantastic . It's a pull over vest , material is like a under armor. I put it over my first layer of armor and the battery on high is2hours, medium is three hours and low is six hours. I can't tell you how good it is, I stay warm on my hints and I really don't know what I did without one. I paid 149 and that's with the battery, you won't be sorry. Oh yea, they sent me a waterproof bag along with my vest, can't beat that.

To the OP bowhunter40, I've heard nothing but good things regarding the heated vests. I don't own one but I have a friend that does and he loves it. I've been researching them a good bit as I'm considering buying one for my dad, he just can't take the cold like he used to anymore.
If you pose this question over on Bowsite I'd bet you'll get a lot of responses and recommendations. Best of luck to you!

I got one because I don't like alot of bulky stuff on while hunting. The only point I get cold is the last 1/2 hour or so of my sit in the evenings. When I start feeling the chills, I turn it on and you get that heat hits you. Feels and works great. I put it on top of my first layer of merano wool.

I'am 76 and plan on hunting today with a high temp of 40. I won't leave home with out it. I only turn it on when/if I get cold in the tree and turn it off before I get down. Mine has a fleece shell, not nylon and a zipper front, very quiet. Got mine on Amazon , less than $ 100. bucks. I said on another thread " it's worth its weight in gold ".

I have a DeWalt 20 volt heated jacket, I’ve never taken it out of the box. Might have to try it. Glad to hear they work well. Thanks John
