I am going to be getting my first trad bow this week. It will be a 28# @28 Toelke Chinook. I am getting some carbon arrows with it but want to order some Easton Aluminum. Are 1716's a good choice? Would the standard vanes work or should I get some made with feather? Thanks Ivan

If your shooting off the shelf I would get feathers.

Welcome to the traditional archery world. I'm impressed that your first traditional bow is so high up on the food chain.

1716 aluminum arrows work well with a 28# bow that I have.

Post a few pictures when you receive the bow.

Thanks for the welcome. It is used bow from another member here. I have always believed that if you as good equipment that you can than the chances of success is better. No excuses,

As best I can measure by the methods I have found it is 28+/- 1/2". And I do have Vipers book.
