use some

verry good arrow

mainly use the cheaper ones for targets and 3D

but have a few for hunting with a wrap- but mainly use wood for hunting

Legacy & Classic 2020,2216 and 2219. Never used wraps, just fletched them up. I shoot mainly carbon now and I use wraps on them.

Use them quite often, but no crest. I could be satisfied to only shoot them, but I do have quite a few Easton Tributes in the mix as well.

I use them (1916 and 2016). Rattle can and Testors.

If you think about it, pretty much everybody who shoots aluminum shoots Legacies, because they’re pretty much all the same thing, apart from the taper on the back. I know I have at least two dozen brand new ones down in the basement right now… I prefer glue on nocks anyway

We just recently had a fairly lengthy conversation about capping & cresting aluminum arrows, so rather than rehashing anything I just pulled that thread up to the top for you.

Enjoy!

Same as longbow 1968 here. Legacy and Tributes clean shafts when not shooting wood. I like the old style swaged nocks.

Pretty much all I shoot any more. 2016 for my 45# bows. I like glue on nocks. I will admit they kinda over did it with the giant crest they use. These are the last ones I fletched with store bought feathers, now i make my own.

I've used 2018 Legacy's for a long time. I prefer the older one's...before all the graphics.

2016 getting ready to fletch some that I've crested.

Crow, Kudos on those arrows. Loving em!

I've shot Legacy arrows for many years; 2018 when I pulled heavier bows & 2016 & 1916 in my current bows. I like the new pattern, but I agree the factory labeling/cresting is a bit too prominent and it's definitely Red in color, which might clash with your preferred fletching colors.

From: sir misalots

crow, were those the old version or did you remove the factory graphics?

From: MikeT
Date: 08-Jan-21

Has anyone removed the crests/graphics on these?

From: Crow#2
Date: 08-Jan-21

Sir misalots I left the graphics on and crested over them so they wouldn't be seen. I have crown a few white but I likem just crested.I figure 2 white feathers and a barred yellow cock feather they should be nice.

The arrows I use when spring bear hunting in New Brunswick Canada. I prefer the Chartruese crown and bright feathers for that dark boreal forest. These are 2117's Legacy. Great arrow

I shot Legacies for years. Then went back to wood.

I shoot Legacies and woods I love them both. They been around a very long time and used in the hunting world. (Great Arrow)

I liked the 2020’s back when I shot 65#. Had some 2018’s but gave them away. Don’t care for the new graphics would rather see the price more in line with the camo’s. After all it’s the same shaft.

From: smrobertson

I use them. The large crest doesnt bother me, no more than XX75 Camo Hunters that are total camoflage. I like to wrap all my arrows, makes better glue adhesion. I still shoot some wood but Easton aluminum shafts are tops.

A little bit of paint remover on a rag cleans them up pretty quick. Been shooting Legacies for a long time. 1916, 2016 and 2020 when I shot heavy weights.

Don't care for the new logo so I remove it.

I shoot Legacy 2016's and some 2018's, remove logo graphics, like others, with acetone. Best arrows out there, IMO.

That's what I hunt with.

shooting 2117 legacies right now out of my 50# tomahawk longbow on my basement range. they shoot great for me !

“ shooting 2117 legacies right now out of my 50# tomahawk longbow”

What do your length and point weight look like on that?

Oddball question about these....

I dunno about youse guys, but I have been known to do a little scratching around in the weeds behind the targets.... you know, just in case there are some sheds or pirate treasure or something back there.....

And every once in a while I come across and arrow that must’ve fallen out of somebody’s quiver and taken a crazy bounce....

So the question is.... I found one a while back with a wrap on it, and the color under the wrap is MUCH darker than the Legacies I’ve bought more recently... these are the 2016s marked “longbow #50-#55” with the footing graphics... So just curious whether they used to “cap” them with some darker color, or is it possible that the shaft faded or the wrap somehow darkened what was there?

I wish they made them smaller than a 1916.

From: Dan In MI

I have seen the anodizing fade on camo and woodgrain shafts if one portion is protected from sunlight.

To the OP. Yes and yes.
