Greetings All,

I'm looking for an arrow alternative and was wondering about these. What are your experiences with them?

Happy hunting, Jason

I've had good luck with the 400s , hold up well , they do break when a deer falls on them tho. ;)

Good shafts.

I shoot the 600's and they seem to be as good a shaft as any others on the market.

Shoot 5 and 600 shafts.Great arrow shafts. Thin diameter with great penetration.

I like them. I killed 2 deer with them this year. I plan on buying another dozen shafts the next time I see Big Jim at a shoot.

Hey Todd, not quite. Easton changed them from beman last year, but this year they are closing them out.

I really like them and have a pretty good stock of them. Brass inserts are available as well and two years ago they were lengthened to over 32"s, but since each spine is slightly different length, I can never remember the exact length.

I should be getting a very large order of whatever is remaining soon. They are very affordable compared to most wood grain shafts. BigJim

I'm always amazed at the abuse these arrows can take

I shoot 600 spine, like them, seem tough enough to me. Broke one this year but got a deer with it. Liking the smaller diameter also. Don’t penetrate well on hardwood trees! Lol

I do and they are great shafts

Really like them. Been buying as many as I can since they're being discontinued.

Interesting to see how many of you shoot 600s. I shoot mostly 600s as well but the charts say I should be shooting 300-400. I thought there was something wrong with my form or setup, but may the charts are crap.

Matt, you are correct.. most charts are crap! BigJim

I have had great luck with my 600 spine

Kinda depends on how much you are willing to cut them down and how much point/overall weight you are comfortable with.

But personally, I find that carbons on the whole are so forgiving that I can shoot 500s and 600s interchangeably @ #52 with a 28” shaft; the 500s bare-shaft nicely with 200 gr up front, but 125 gr BH & FP group about as close as I can shoot them.

Best shaft's I've ever shot I shoot 500s and 600s

“ Looking to use the 600's, draw 28+. Be shooting them out of 40# Recurve and 45# Longbows, usually cut my arrows to about 30" with a 100-125 grain tip...”

The 600s that I just bought are marked seven grains per inch, so call that 210... 125 for the point and another 25 or so for standard parts & pieces... Not outrageously light, I guess....

I see a lot of guys at the club using brass inserts and 200 or sometimes even 300 grain points… Not sure what poundage they’re shooting, but presumably in about the same range as you. I guess about the only advice I would offer, really, is that if you’re going to cut them down, do so in the shortest increments that you can stand to mess with.

I must change my post... I measured some yesterday and they were 31.5"s and I believe they were 340s.
