It's finally here. I just opened the Feb/March issue of TBM and I was pleasantly surprised to see the story of Todd's moose. Check it out.

Yep same here. I think I've seen TBM still being sold at a nearby "Barnes and Noble". I've bought and read a few issues back in the day.

Guys, thanks for the kind words. Of course it was more fun to shoot the moose, but it was pretty much fun writing the article. You guys should try it. Make it a goal. I did.

Great story, only one question- how big were the two that got away ?

From: Bowmania Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

Bill, They were big. Calves look pretty big to me. My moose is only 34 inches wide, but makes B&C, lots of points and long and wide palms. The biggest of the other two was wider, but didn't have the number of points mine had. I guess the general consensus was they'd score about the same.

I didn't have to make a choice, because we didn't see either of the other two the day before the season or until mine was 20 yards away.

Just think of those other two moose - they may have saved my life. Did not look good if he kept coming the way he was coming and I'm too stupid to move.

They say the best spot to shoot a moose is next to the truck.

Thanks for the info.
