I got this old PSE pro series Bruin laying around

It was given to me, I thought I might restore it someday as a fun project but it just isn’t that interesting to me as a compound however every time I see it hanging on the wall, I wonder if I could throw on some cheap recurve limbs, reckon it shoot?

Should I buy some Samick sage limbs?

You certainly could. Personally I would find a set of moderately priced ILF limbs and remove the ILF fitting and use those as bolt one. But the Samick limbs will be good to see how you liked the set up.

The viability depends a lot of the limb pad angles. I have an ILF conversion that doesnt have steep enough angles and it works but its not ideal and kind of annoying. Theres also the issue of reflex risers are felt to be a bit squirrelly.

Some compounds like Bear blackbears and older Hoyts make famously great conversions. Im not familiar with that particular bow though.

Give it a little bit of a custom camo paint job. And it'll look great. They say it should work so it probably will. I've never tried it. JF
