I need to fletch a few left wing feathers. I have a bitzenburger with a right-wing clamp. I can buy a whole grayling jig and clamp for the price of a bitz clamp. I'm wondering if anyone has tried different brand clamps on a bitzenburger. It looks like the grayling clamps might work.

If you’re gonna buy a whole new jig, there’s no need to swap out parts. And if you buy a second Bitz clamp, then you know exactly what you’re getting.
I don’t see where a great deal of cogitation is required for this one....

I am with bodymanboyer the Grayling clamps will work on the Bitz and are about $14-$16 on Amazon or Ebay. These are nice clamps. You don't need a new base/receiver, you just need to change the angle of the magnet using the thumb screws that hold the magnet in place. If you have your fletcher set up so the quill is running straight is running straight down the shaft you won't need to change anything. If it is set up off set to the right, you will need to set it straight or off set to the left. How much off set is up to you, just make sure the back end of the quill and the front end have full contact to the shaft. To much off set and the complete quill will not be have full contact on the ends. If you usually shoot right wing I would mark the angle position of the magnet front and rear (there are hash marks) before moving it, that way you can bring it back to its original position. DANNY

I have a Grayling. It works ,but on the cheezy side when compared to a Bitz, but the price is right. I have left, and right clamps for it ,but never changed the nock receiver. Works OK. Just me ,but if I owned a Bitz I would buy the Bitz clamp.

If it works go with it, I am on the frugal side as well.
All of my jigs are Bitzes, I have bought and traded for most of them used back when you could get used ones off eBay for a cheap price, I changed the nock receivers to left, and changed a clamp or two.
I have used a bunch of other jigs in the past, I liked all of them except for a Jo Jan multifletcher which I traded for two Bitzes.
With the jig properly set, your arrow isn't going to know if the clamp was a Grayling or Bitz.
You can upgrade in the future if you choose, one can never have too many fletching jigs.
Here is my rig now, on a lazy Susan table.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to order a grayling clamp. I didn't want to spend $35-$40 to fletch a few arrows and this option will work.
