Fear Not Old Tree
Fear not old tree for it’s not your last day. I’ll take good care of you and store you away.
I’ll peal your bark, seal your ends and your back I’ll check on you occasionally as you cure on my rack.
I’ll study your shape and remove any flaws. Some I’ll accept if their caricature allows.
I’ll remove from you everything that isn’t a bow.
Give you a string and in your wood once again life will flow
