Got coal??? Trade to a knifemaker for something good!

As you read the rules please remember this thread is intended to swap something you have, or are looking for, to another person for something they have, or are looking for. It is not a place to clean out your closet. When folks post a photo with seven or eight items to trade management of the thread gets difficult as things are traded off. With that in mind, please try to limit what you are offering and be very specific about what you are looking for. Thanks. Please follow the rules. PAY ATTENTION to NUMBER 3. Things have been getting a little lax in this area. Here are the ground rules for the swap.

1) Trades only NO SELLING, I REPEAT – NO SELLING (apparently it needs to be repeated). Sales MUST be placed in the classifieds.

2) After posting, all follow up communication should be via PRIVATE MESSAGE or E-MAIL. This applies to interested parties also.

3) ONE photo, please, for your trade items. If a person shows interest additional photos should be sent via email.

4) Please limit the number of items you are looking to trade. As mentioned above, this is not the place to clean out your closet.

5) Please list the item you are looking for in return. Please be as specific as possible rather than saying "whatcha got?"

6) Please limit your ads to five active posts.

7) If an item is gone please make a post stating xxx from mm/dd (date) is traded. This is for clean up/editing purposes.

8) You can swap non archery items if, and ONLY IF, you are looking for traditional archery it ems in return.

9) Please remember to resize your photos. The forum guidelines are no longer than 500pixels but if you can resize them to something close 640x480 that will be fine. Photos that are too large will be removed.

If you have multiple items in a single pic/post don’t post a single item is gone. Yes, we know it causes you more “sorry it’s gone” replies, but, since you have a multiple item post it can’t be removed without removing all of your items, so your note just adds to the thread length.

wanted, a Hoyt Tracker 19" original limb pads metal riser, this is a bolt-down riser.......I have various things to trade for one with original pads or plates stuck on it that can be removed. I have arrows in several lengths & spines, 2 wool jackets, ILF warfs, ILF limbs.......some knives.... Condition of riser is not real important as long as it's usable. Thanks in advance, Steve Long

4 pair Swedish Surplus Wool Pants New unissued. They are 85% wool/15% Poly I believe.

The sizes are 40W 33-34 inseam on 2 and 39W 33 Inseam on another 2. MEasured with a tape measure. tool the width and doubled it. Button flys on these. I wore a 40W and these all fit me. Never got to hemming them to fit me and my hunting days are over. One of the 40W seams to have a seam loose in the crotch.

Looking for broadheads( Bear, Zwickey, Magnus, Ribtek) a quality knife is always useful.

For the old school tree bark camo, I would want large or extra large. Sorry for not stating the size.

Dont have pictures, but if you like metal detecting, I have a White's TRX pinpointer like new condition. Has holster and coil tether as well as two battery adapters. Value is 120 and gping up as they are becoming more scarce. Garrett has bought White's and the originals are rising in value. Having said that, I am looking to swap for a Loggy Bayou Legend XL stand(cable rather than metal band preferred). The Loggy is the one I prefer due to disabilities in my joints. In addition to the Whites TRX pinpointer, I am adding a really nice Penn Squidder circa 1940 or so. Works well with both bakelte air brake spool and a custom one off machined stainless spool for mono line. I figure reel isveasily worth 40 bucks and the pinpointer is low at 90. Looking for a Mariah Thermal riser. Wood choices make no matter, I am not sure if Ric made different size risers, or just varied the length of the limbs.

I have three sets of limbs two that make a 60" bow and one set that makes a 58" bow with my current riser.

I have 3 Dacron longbow strings from 60X. 2 are 67” and 1 is 66”. All 3 are in like new condition(one of the camo strings has never been out of the package, the other 2 only strung/shot to get nocking point set). I had these for a 70” Hill bow that unfortunately broke, so I can’t use them. I’d like to trade for longbow strings 65” (for a 68” longbow) or 59” (for a 62” longbow). My Step mom has degenerative heart and meds have triggered severe arthritis, so dad doesn't get far from her anymore. He found this fall he was looking for things to do around the place. I gave him an old bear kodiak and a dozen lodgepole arrows and said shoot when you are bored. He was ok with it and has gotten fairly good, triggered the trad desire in him a little. Anyways last couple of weeks he has been bugging me for more to do in his shop or something so I bought a feather grinding jig from 3 rivers and asked all my friends for goose wings. I stopped by yesterday and he was grinding like a wildman. He has processed almost all the primary feathers I gave him.

They are not perfect, but he is a details type guy and they are very good.

sorry long story. I would like to keep the left wing for myself, but there will be several dozen right wing feathers if anyone is interested in a trade.

so far he is just making them as long as he can, and leaving them full, so I can use a feather burner on them.

But there is a right wing 4" shield cut feather chopper on the way if you would prefer them cut and shaped.

As for a trade, I am open to anything for getting him deeper into archery,

More feathers? he is burning through them fast and will be out of work soon.

Wow what a generous group of people, he was gifted a quiver and a tab, and received suggestions that will help me feed the addiction to traditional archery.

The goose fletchings will wait until I get the chopper I ordered then I will have him package them up for a give away.
