Wow! That’s very interesting. 6000 years from now someone will be finding my ancient lost arrows all around certain trees.

pretty cool story,thanks buzz

From: Brad Lehmann

some of those look better than my practice arrows

From: Jim Davis

What never gets noticed is that these artifacts are undeniable evidence that the world was warmer when they were they were lost than when all the ice covered them for millenia.

Buzz and George - THANK YOU

From: George D. Stout

Jim, that doesn't fit the modern narative though so it isn't talked about mainstream.

From: GLF

Exactly Jim.

I wonder what might be found under the artic. Interesting very Interesting.

Isn't that what kernel Klink used to say on Hogan's Hero's. LOL

From: Kelly
Date: 27-Nov-20

Great find but even whomever made the video won't admit that it was warmer many millennia ago and will get colder again. Yet there is there "Climate Change" all over this video. Interestingly, did you catch at the end the "Little Ice Age" they talked about when this ice field was at its highest was between the 15th and 20th Century, not very long ago. Of course they will use that as now its almost gone so global warming, yet the oldest arrows were not found at the bottom.

From: fdp
Date: 27-Nov-20

That's pretty dang interesting.

From: Dan Jones
Date: 27-Nov-20

Mr. Stoudt: That depends on which "mainstream" you're following.

From: SteelyDan
Date: 27-Nov-20

The same phenomena is happening in Yukon. They are finding arrow and spear tips in areas where the caibou spent on the snow, cooling off in summer. Now as the snow has receded, up the mountains, the artifacts have begun to show themselves.

I think it's becoming more and more accepted that while climate change and global warming are certainly real, they are both things that have gone on for many years. Followed by periods of climate cooling, 0nly to be repeated again.

If you read peer reviewed publications you will find the planet has always gone through warm and cold spells due to the North Atlantic Oscillation. What is different this time is that the warm spell has not occurred so quickly and and the temperature has not increased at this rate. The difference? Fossil fuels...period.

From: GLF
Date: 27-Nov-20

Doesn't matter how fast it happens because once it get so warm for so long the warth puts into motions some of the things that cool it back down.

From: DougInMN
Date: 27-Nov-20

Great story thank you for posting. I love stuff like this how awesome would it be to pick up an arrow that old and think of the archer/hunter and the game they were after. Just awesome thanks !!!

From: mangonboat

"Doesn't matter how fast it happens because once it get so warm for so long the warth puts into motions some of the things that cool it back down"< this is true. When humans facing extreme food and water shortages launch nuclear weapons in battles over the last remaining resources, nuclear winter and dead seas will produce the extermination of all humans in a few years and , in a few thousand years, things will cool back down. There wont be any humans, mammals, fish , reptiles or amphibians, but it WILL be cooler. Don' worry. Be Happy.

Grilled Spam, onion and pineapple. Worth suffering extinction for.

From: Runner

The inconsistent placement of the arrows according to age can be explained by other reasons.

It's a bit of a knee jerk response to think they would have to be layered in the ice according to age.

There was a study on this too.

From: DougInMN
Date: 27-Nov-20

"Grilled Spam, onion and pineapple. Worth suffering extinction for" PROBABLY the single greatest quote in internet history !!!! I am IN !!!!

From: StikBow

My first degree is geology with emphasis on glaciers. Man has been some what responsible for some of the rise in temperature, but geologic evidence indicates we are in a very long and continuous rise-fall , as it has been in the past.

Lol 20 bucks says it starts cooling in 30 to 40 years at the most. It cooled from 1300 to 1850 by forces n.v assa says are starting now. Remember greenland used to be green untill about 1350 ad.

Climate change has occurred ever since the earth came about. No one knows how slow or fast some of it came or went. If its man made its not America that is causing it. But we will now have to pay for it !

Great post Buzz, and thanks George, very interesting and fun to think about what the cave guys hunted, how and w/ what they hunted, and what they harvested! And hey, the green house effect has been passing Central TX by for the last 6 months, drier than a desert sand dune, but been getting some today, thank the LORD!

They used to teach us about the glacial-interglacial cycle, that we’re currently living between ice ages.

From: Onehair

Enjoyed and learned. So the ice thawed and refroze several times over the millennium. That's a head scratcher.

From: George Tsoukalas
Date: 29-Nov-20

Our Revolutionary War was fought during a mini Ice Age.

The puzzling thing is those arrows take probably half a day to make if not more.

Why were they left there and not searched for right away? I understand they may have been somewhat buried. Maybe it was a battle.

Jawge

From: larryhatfield
Date: 29-Nov-20

Jawge, there were only 70? arrows found that were lost over such a long period of time! Not a battle scene, just hunting losses.

From: Eriebuck
Date: 29-Nov-20

This is off the subject of the OP but since we are discussing weather/climate change a very interesting take on it is discussed by Professor David Dilly{globalweatherosscilations.com}. Dilly discusses a model based on 108,000 year cycles based on solar/lunar positioning that has pretty accurately predicted cooling and heating cycles for a long period of time. According to his model we are actually heading into a cooling cycle
