Ok fellas. It’s that time of the year again. I’m hosting my annual TBG hog hunt in January. I know a few of you have expressed interest. Time to mark your calendars. Pm me for details.

Alright- I got way more responses than I was expecting. Let me ask y’all to include a good phone number with your pms. It’s way easier and faster for me to talk than type.

But here’s a little info: This is a TRADITIONAL BOWHUNTERS OF GA hunt. It’s going to be at Ft. Stewart in hinesville The dates are JAN 22,23,24 Primitive camping Is available for a fee, or there are several hotels close by. This is not a GUIDED hunt, I’m just the host, but I am happy to answer any questions and help where I can. Everybody who participates is responsible for his own travel, lodging, food, license etc...... All info about the Regs and licensing can be reviewed on the isportsman website. Again- I welcome any questions, please include a phone number with your pms.

Archery hunters must complete a qualification session available by appointment only through Pass and Permit office.

This is from 2017...I do not know if still in effect

But wanted you to be aware to prepare.

I hunted down there 10 years ago and had a blast!

Groundhog that’s false. No more qualifications for archery or anything else. I suggest everyone who plans to attend go to the isportsman website and READ THE REGULATIONS. Be prepared to adhere to them. This is a military installation- if you violate even the most minute of their rules they will happily and swiftly show you where the gate is. Military police, in my experience, are not very warm and fuzzy individuals.

Lucky for me- all my stuff was squared away.

That’s good news! As stated wasn’t certain if the policy was still in effect.

Awesome place to hunt...we mainly hunted the archery only areas and saw our share of hogs.
