How long are they and what draw length are they tillered to?

String them and shoot them just don't over draw them. They will either hold together or not.

If they were good when they last were shot They should be good yet. I probably would probably look them over pretty good if I didn’t know their history. Check back for lifted sprinters.

Like fdp said . The length and design might give you a idea of intended draw length. Of course a selfbow is only as good as it was made. It isn’t unbreakable and is not forgiving of any mishandling. Don’t overdraw. Even stringing them you have to make sure you are doing it properly and spreading the forces out evenly. I use the push pull method but many recommend a stringer. If you use step through make sure the handle contacts your leg. Not one of the limbs. Try not to hold at full draw for longer than necessary. Might want to slowly work up to a longer draw a little at a time.

Hopefully they are well made selfbows and give you years of enjoyment.

ok so one bow is 68 inches 50#@27" the other is 64 inches 55#@27" also it seems as if the 50 pound bow has a slight twist, ever so slight, although the string lines up center,i dont know if it was always this way or if it twisted with time, thoughts?? also anyway to fix twist??

If it’s a straight limb bow the slight twist is probably not a problem. I wouldn’t worry about it unless it has recurves and the string doesn’t want to stay on the flipped tips.

PS it’s nice they are marked with draw length
