I'm looking for something light weight with just a single post that I can use to lean into trees.
Similar to a marsh seat for duck hunting.
Doesn't necessarily have to be as I described, but my turkey chair isn't cutting it for deer hunting (3 legged stool deal) as I cant get close enough to trees.
Any ideas?

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for but I have 2 ideas.
I bought a seat from Big Jim that is one post and leans against a tree. Very useful.
Second, I made what is essentially a tall, one leg, milking stool. No tree needed. Works great in ground blind. Can shift and turn very easily with no squeak. Balancing is a little tiring after 2 or 3 hours so just stand and stretch once in awhile.
Both are portable enough.

I’m either in my hammock seat or Waldrop pack seat. When my young son and I are hunting I take both and when we get to where we want to set up, we decide who gets which depending on nearby trees.

I have a seat that is roped to a tree with a strap. You can fold it in half & strap it to a pack. You could also make a harness for it to carry over your shoulder.I don't know the name of it, or don't know if they still sell them.

I have the Hunters Seat and my friend has the Hawk. He likes mine because the hawk is small and your back feels to close to the tree.

Anyone have experience with this one? I like that it both swivels and is height - adjustable. More expensive than others, though.

Mechanic, I used for for a number of sits, the posts forced their way through the material, I thought about using a different material, one that is thicker underneath for strength, and a softer material for the family jewels. Mine acutally swivelled.
I like the Cabela's stool, I will have to check it out.

Sorry, The OP was about single post seats. My concern with that style stool is the wood roots around the base of the tree, is there enough space between the roots where you want to put the stool close to the tree? That is why an adjustable 3-legged stool is ideal, or a strap on tree seat that swivels.

Had one of those tripod stools a few years back. After about 20 minutes sitting on it, don’t think there was a part of me that didn’t hurt. Torges seat works just fine.
