I left you guys for a couple years. Quit shooting and cant figure out why. Just a wild hair I guess. I'm sure glad to be back and read and remember all the names/handles. This christmas will be my last full Time working. Retiring. Not rich not much money but I live in a great country and thank The Lord for every day and the small things in life. God bless all of you.

Awesome. I retired in 2010, bought my lifetime license combo and it's good. This year we put up our biggest garden in decades also and the pantries are full. Life can be good for hunting and gathering...and o course canning and freezing.....and dehydrating. :)

I retired 15 years ago and I never look back. It's been great. The pay isn't what it once was but, the conditions are great! First year I retired I hunted whitetail 88 days that season and killed a buck on the last day of Kansas season. I wish you the same! Have a great retirement and good health too!

Congratulations on your retirement plans. Use your time wisely; do what you have to, then have fun with the rest of the time.

I've been retired for about three years. I take day trips with Mama and get to shoot five or six days a week. I spend more time cutting brush and mowing at the archery club than I do at home.

Congratulations on the retirement.

I retired from a good, 42 year career in Nov. 2018, I loved the job, but that was then, this is now, I don't miss it a bit. ;)

Got back into archery after a 14 year absence, 6 months before I left, as a main retirement activity.

It has been just great, I am out to the club 3 to 5 times/week.

Hope you enjoy it!!!

I retired July 1st of this year at 56. Been busy doing all the things I’ve been putting off. Thought I’d be hunting everyday of the season, but with all the fires here, the governor closed all the national forests, so I’ve been busy in the wood/bow shop making stuff. I’ve always wanted to make a bow with spliced veneers, so I did some research and gave it a shot.

I’m finding that it is important for me to have somewhat of a schedule, otherwise the whole day slips away. I make lists of things I want to do, and have started exercising on a more regular basis. I used to read retirement threads on here and the Bowsite all the time. Most everyone said that the time starts to fly by, man! Is that ever true.

Welcome back and congratulations.

I'm looking at the end of 2021 as being when I become a pensioner. Don't know what I 'll do to keep busy but the first year I doubt I'll have much trouble finding things that need doing.

Congratulations on your retirement. Retirement is great you'll love it. I retired seven years ago with a 30 year state pension and I'm loving every minute of it. And in four months I'll be going on social security. Life is good.

Congrats Crow#2. Been out from the job now23&1/2 years and was fortunate to have a job where I never felt like it was work. Been hunting ever since...in state, out of state and out of country. It's as good as you want it to be. God bless!

Welcome back. Just retired myself as of July 1st. Been catching up on stuff around home. Fishing when I want (weekdays, not as many people) setting my own schedule. Not missing work at all. It's been great so far. Looking forward to this hunting season.
