Well after some time off with the Virus we finally got the “Outdoor PlayStation” complete and now we are having fun shooting at the targets . Here is Darci with a few arrows that hit her target .

This one her Daddy said a “Bee “ stung him just as he was reading the arrow at 20 yards trying to hit a swinging target . But I think Daddy “Bee “ fibbing a little . And he even told me and my sisters “Do not” hit my doors !

Well not sure what happened to that picture but you get the idea ? Then he tried to say a Purple Raven has his after burners on and flew into it “Beak” first but his tail feathers got stuck .This picture may be sideways too but let’s try it.

Good targets, the girls are in joying it and tin makes for a good feather stripper, hope you got the bee , before it gets one of the little ones.

Daddy made me put my name on this one too but I’m having fun with my bow and arrows ! This is the bestest “PlayStation “ I ever played in my entire 8 years so far and my Daddy loves me so much to build this for me and my sisters .

That is a great looking play station. Glad the kids enjoy it so much. I really miss the times when my daughters were young and shot little longbows with me. They migrated away from shooting as they got older. I hope your daughters will stick with it. It is a wonderful past time that you can share for decades to come. Good on you dad!

Daryl, Thank you and we are having a blast especially when we either hit the hanging target carpet roll or when we have what we call a “Bee Sting “ at the moment of release and an arrow hits the frame or one of the doors . Then we have a “Wall of Shame” where we have to pose for a picture ,date and sign the hole with a permanent sharpie marker lol. If hitting the metal corrugated door isn’t bad enough our youngest laughs so loud all our neighbors outside stop what they are doing and look over and I’m saying shhhhhh...Here’s another example of a “Bee Stung me “ upon release moment.

See, there are still some great Dads in the world. The girls are precious. Hats off to you sir.

Now the man that got stung and writing his name on the “Wall of Shame”!

Some of those shots are the most memorable? Now you can look at the holes and names years from now and say......you remember the day you......

Looks great Keith...it did need a little ventilation though! Maybe some strips of stall mat to protect the 2X's would save digging arrows out!

you all wouldn't want to see the holes in back of my drill press! it does have a little ventilation! lol

Is stall matting easy to cut? How about the story on the arrow at the top of the play station?

From: Keefers
Date: 26-May-20

Don, I haven’t had to cut any yet but might try it to put on the front of the decking to protect that 2x4 but may need it for those doors lol. The decorative arrow is a garden stake I carved about 15 years ago and it was in my shop so I just added it for looks over the doors. The feathers are corrugated roofing tin and I used snips to make the feathers appear realistic. Then I burned the wood grain pattern and sealed the arrow. It’s almost 6’ long .... The nock and field point are what I carved and shaped on that stake. Just a little archery “Bling” I added I all. The pole is made for a hanging target.

I have a ding in my basement cement block from my daughter when she was little. Now it's there to make me smile. And I agree with Mike E. Darci is cute as a button. Thanks for the smile. Jim

stall matting is NOT easy to cut but it can be done with a skill saw at least that is what I have used.

From: Keefers
Date: 26-May-20

I have a Hot knife and as far as the smoke and fumes I wonder if that would ease through it or catch Fire ? It cuts through 2” foam once hot like butter .

Meant to add that Kaci had to pose for the picture and have her name added to “The Wall of Shame” today. Darci our Runt made certain everyone knows who the culprit on this hole was lol.

That is absolutely AWESOME!!!!! Put a huge smile on my face this morning. A big thank you for that, I needed it! Love the 6' arra. Love the smiles, even the frowns. Definitely a memory maker.

For the mat I used a multi (I think that's what it's called) tool, the one were it vibrates. It worked pretty good.

From: Keefers
Date: 27-May-20

Alan that’s funny cause I have so many tools at home and at work that when we are in a apartment turning it over for next tenant and needing a certain tool I call the Multi Master the “zippp zipppsaw” cause of the sound it makes and my memory keeps failing me sometimes and can’t remember the correct name . The Sawz All is another which folks know is called a recipicating saw and “Skill saw “ which is actually just a Electric saw or power saw. Anyway it’s funny how we can’t remember the correct names sometimes and I’m sure I’m not alone ?
