Milan, I have owned a number of bows from Dan but have never shot a Whistler. That said I know Dan would never have introduced the model untill there was an exhaustive research/development period completed. The Whistler is a Toelke and like all other Toelke bows it will be flawlessly finished, smooth-drawing with no hand shock, quick, and very quiet. It will have 2 strings with a pair of cat whiskers that will not need to be replaced and did I mention it will be very quiet?

And by the way, it takes at least 41 lbs. to kill a buffalo.

As long as you’re not more than 17.3 yards away from the buffalo.

I’d just call Dan I’m sure he would be happy to explain everything you need to know and you won’t have to hear about buffalo.

I have a 60” whistler, 41#@28”, scales at 43# at my 29”draw. It is, as Jim said above, flawless, smooth, no hand shock, quiet, and very quick. It is just like shooting the whip, just with more aggressive limbs. It shoots the same arrows at the same speed thru the chrono as my 45#@29” whip, so it is a few fps faster than the whip pound for pound. It also shows no stacking that I can tell out to 31” which is about as far as I can overstretch my draw. It shows no preference with aluminum, carbon, or wood arrows and performs great with heavy arrows, from 12-15gpp carbons and my doug firs from 592-704g... even that 704g arrow at 16.4gpp flies great and averages 140fps... tho I generally shoot between about 600g-650g with this bow with both doug fir and carbons. Chrono speeds: 650g @ 145fps, 592g @ 150fps. As with all Toelke bows, the whistler is a shooter. Hope this helps.

Used my Donald dollars and ordered a Whistler. Took all of 31 days from ordering to arrival. I had a 62" 52#@28" Whip, while the new bow is 60" 48#@28". Arrows are 530gn carbon, while my draw length is 27". Dan talked me through wood options and I was pleased with the result. Whistler limbs have more reflex than the Whip, otherwise not much difference to me. Very pleased with the Whistler. I can't say I like the Whistler better than the Whip- like them both. Suspect the Whistler might have a tiny bit more speed per pound but have no way to measure. If I had a 29" draw I might favor the Whip and a 62" length.

I have 60" 40#@28, I draw 47#@31". It tosses a 544gr arrow at 168fps. Not the most forgiving bow I've owned, but it's my favorite to shoot by far. Think the unforgiving part is caused by me absolutely maxing out the draw length and I have to concentrate a lot on how much pressure is on what finger.

Had a 50# @ 28” whistler and loved it. Whisper quiet, no hand shock, shot a 630gr arrow out of it. Drew it to 30.5” with zero stack at all. Great bow.
