So after 5 years of waiting I finally received a kidney. But I can't pull my regular bows. I. Need an arrow for a 30 @ 28 bear tamerlane. I draw 27 inches and am shooting a b 50 string. Either aluminum or carbon. Thanks in advance.hefty

And .700 or .800 in carbon depending on length. Give Big Jim a call and talk to him about his Dark Timber carbons.

At that low of # id go with a gt warrior 700, they are 5.4gpi. Ive learned with low # gpi is more important than spine. In aluminum i use a 1713 which is 7.3 gpi. Here is a simple chart by easton.

We have a dark timber shaft in 800 spine that would work well for you. Since you are not going to be hunting with this and only need it to fly well with field points, that is not necesarily that difficult.

Many guys and gals are able to shoot arrows a little or a lot stiff and think they look good mostly because they are onlly shooting field points. There are other reasons as well.

End up with an arrow weight that is conducive for decent speed out of your bow and you will likely be happy with it as well.

In reality, the 800 spine dark timber will likely be a little stiff for your set up as well, but propabably fly better and last longer than any other similar. BigJim
