Please send prayers for this tick bite I got today. Right now I'm pretty freaked out. Lord I need you not to let me get lymes again please father. You know I'm freaked out because all I need is this on top of this autoimune I have and fighting. Brothers call up the Lord for me so this can pass for me please.
Thank you father for hearing all our prayers I been pretty good for a little while and getting healthier and starting to gain on the CIDP so this could kill me if I get Lymes. If I do then please help me to overcome and manage it and help me overcome the worry of this and settle down.
I was out in Chester and Lancaster Co's today in Pa. on claims. My last claim was at a Hydraulic shop some Amish fellers had and I was looking at a Cat 330 D crawler Excavator that had vandalism in hydraulic system. I came out to my truck and got in and looked in mirror and thought what's this scab how did I get cut in my beard? I picked it out and looked at it wow oh no a tick. OMG now what. When I got home I cleaned it and put some Frankincense and Myrrh on it and hope it resolves.
I can't ever win this darn world it sure is hard on me. LOL
If it isn't worry about virus its ticks. Well had my dog with me she was shotgun and all I know might have come off her?
She's protected and I sure pray I am as well.
At least I'm working again after 2 months inside enough was enough I had to start going out again. 50% people are not wearing masks out there I been finding.
Please pray now I need it please.

I will include this detail in my prayers for you.
However, my understanding is that the tick has to be attached/embedded for at least 24hrs to transmit the sickness. Worrying does you no good. Being able to remove it yourself indicates to me that he wasn't embedded.
Some years back I found a tick in my chin, under the beard. I pulled it out and it was dead. I must have poisoned him.

My doctor wrote me a prescription for Doxycycline several years ago just to have on hand. He said just take a regimen and don't even bother to call. It's worth the piece of mind. This is the first year of the last three I haven't picked up a deer tick in March up in the Blue Ridge...when it was way colder than you'd think the little devils would be out!

As mentioned before they need to be imbedded for 24 hours and as mentioned you should be able to have the tick tested if you saved it. I took the antibiotic treatment once and it worked fine. You're a long way away from trouble even if the tick did carry lymes. Of course, the Lord always welcomes prayers...

Try cutting one out of your scrotum like I did once. Freaked out! Just had bloodwork done on Monday and included Lyme in it we shall see. I agree that it wasn’t attached long enough but then again I don’t really know how they could decide on the length of time it takes.

A tick feeds for 24 hrs. It's after. that that it regurgitates the enzymes back into the hosts body through the bite. This is when the Lyme's is transmitted. I have had many ticks embedded in me. Only once did I get Lyme's that's because I came home and fell asleep in my clothes. 2 weeks of antibiotics killed it. wpab

Had one a few weeks ago. It was embedded for 24 hours+ when found. (On my back.)
Wife tried to remove it but couldn’t get the head out. I went to med-express and they prescribed doxycycline hyclate, 100 mg twice per day. The attending doc said ticks in our area (western West Virginia) seldom carry the disease (lymes).
I took 3 doses and got very sick. Could not take it as required (on an empty stomach). Called doc and he said stop taking it. So far so good.

All ticks give lymes. It was a wood tick that bite me and don't think it was on me very long. I know I didn't see or feel on my face when I went into this shop. I'm hoping it had just jumped on me off this machine or from somewhere a half hour before. When I pulled it off it did appear to have been dead.
Since Nurse is going to pull blood from me tomorrow morning before she starts 2nd day infusion it would be practical to get a lymes test as well I'm thinking. Going to call Dr. this morning efore the nurse gets here for todays infusion.
I put the oil on me and hope it heals it. When I had Lymes 20 years ago now it was from a big ol wood tick embedded in my chest.
I have so much anxiety just trying to work again from 2 months layoff and to continually manage these infusions every 2 weeks has been challenging enough then now this. Lord give me strength and calm me.
All tics can carry diseases they were tested on us used by bio at Plum island look it up what they did there.
Just like this Virus they still don't know enough about. They know a good bite but not nearly enough for the amount of grant moneys they wasted ripping us all off.
Prayers work I been praying continually myself to be able to manage it if I get it again. When I did pull out it appeared to have been spewing whitish fluid out of its mouth. It might have been trying to get rid of what it tried to suck out me even. Who knows nevertheless I'm still freaked out.LOL
I'm thinking that also I found him and all I can do is hope and pray for the best.
I can't get any vaccines even if a virus one does come out with this autoimune I have.

When I had arlikia 20 yearsback there was no bulls eye and it was frozen blood test. Called Dr. who said get on the medicine and we will give you a blood test. I said I want 2 tests no we can't do that. I said you are doing this and this is what I want you to do the 2nd test needs to be a frozen blood test. Dr. argued but called lab and they said yes freeze the blood in 2nd test tube.
Ok Glenn there's been no records of spotted rocky Mt. fever in this area. Then I told them the story of my friends son who had lymes 2 times. First he had the bulls eye and then he had no rash or bulls eye latter down the road so they knew enough to frozen blood test that resulted in him having Arlickia the 2nd time. If my buddy's son hadn't gone through that I would not have known what to tell Dr.
Ok I'm on doxy for a few days and Dr. calls no Lymes get off Doxy this was on a Friday. Now on Sunday Dr. calls get back on the doxy you have arlicia. Oh thought no rocky Mt in area. Well your the 1 rst case I know of. Figures and was I ever sick for 8 weeks. So now this is why I worry. If I didn't have the autoimmune then I'd take medicine and go through it and then be done.
Lymes is forever you never get rid of it either. Every now and then I get bouts that don't last more than 4 hrs each time.
I'm hoping the IVIG I get thyats other peoples antibodies like thousands of people it takes to make and 1 year to get a batch done is protecting me from anything that comes on me?
No tic is anything to mess with and there's new diseases that have been released into this world we don't even all know about that have been surfacing.
We are truly the great experiment I believe.

Only about 1 in 3 diagnosed cases of Lyme Disease show a rash... usually bullseye shaped around bite site. I had Lyme, no rash. Very common.
I don't believe Lyme is forever in everyone. I've had no recurrence.
I do believe MANY people are not treated adequately to kill it all off.
Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is from tick infected with Rickettsia bacteria... not Ehrlichia.
Ehrlichiosis is usually from Lone Star tick infected with Ehrlichia bacteria... but can also be carried by deer tick, dog tick, black legged tick, etc. Rash is uncommon, but is pin size dots or flat red patches, as opposed to the bullseye associated with Lyme disease.
These infections can also be spread with infected blood transfusions.
Both can be treated with Doxycyline. Doxycyline shouldn't be taken during the summer if you spend time outside. Take it with food if it upsets the stomach.

No Jeff Dr. said spotted fever they didn't know. The lab came back with alicia.
I've had off and on symptoms of the Lymes Erlik off and on for 20 years Drs all said its due to the Lymes still in system. They checked my brain but didn't no tissues they felt no need saying they are confident I didn't have Lymes when I was diagnosed with GBS at first that went chronic to CIPP.
Honestly I still don't trust it all. Today I can barely see the mark the tick left so hoping I pulled out in enough time.
Hmm that don't sound to good. LOL

Deer ticks can carry many diseases in fact a lot of people who test positive for Lyme also have Babesiosis. I hate when doctors think they know everything. Bottom line is if I’m paying for a blood test I should be able to request whatever test I want. Can’t stand doctors.

And forever who said you can’t see deer ticks that is bs as I pull off 50-100 a year on me in the northeast. Now the deer ticks in the larva/nymph stage I had on me last year and only saw them because they were moving at the time. It was unbelievable how small they were and honestly I was freaked out because I could not check certain areas. They were also the color of skin which made it worse. Here in the northeast we have every tick disease and now Rocky Mt spotted fever which is new here. Almost want to quit hunting because it’s getting worse every year.

You know what I mean though right? LOL
I think I'm OK no read marks or bulls eye or fever or mussel aches.
I got another round of infusions Thursday and Friday and beat up from that. This morning I got woken up to full on gurgling like I was drowning. I was thinking wonder if this is what waterboarding is similar to?
Now whats going on Virus, Lyme's no another darn dame broke on me a vessel in nose let go and it's running down throat now and out right side nose.
I'm bleeding down the front and beard has blood in it. Get to bathroom look in mirror and get stuffed and spit up blood loungers . I swallowed a lot I guess so from like 3 hrs I battled this till I got stopped. Do I call someone or 911 to get to hospital or can I do this myself maybe. I went through 1/2 roll of paper towels stopping it.
I didn't want to go to hospital to get it packed and maybe be at risk for virus was thinking either then have to spend half a day and when they packed not be able to see very well for several days till they took out pack.
I can't believe so many challenges and every time I think I'm Job it goes all over again.
At least God gave back everything the devil took but I'm still waiting for that help. It might have even been stress from working again and then the tick scare and the infusions or my BP spiked I don't know. I'm tired just how much can one go through? Guess I'm finding it all out. Oh well at least I got it plugged past several hours not bleeding.
Prayer please need more.

With the very high density of deer ticks in my area, I have had to deal with a few doxycycline treatments. The various tests and conventional wisdoms concerning Lyme disease should be taken with a grain of salt. I have buddies that have contracted it without ever having discovered a tick in themselves. I have been fortunate to find the dreaded red ring with mine. In this case the treatment which proved successful was a three week regimen of doxycycline treatments. In a few cases where I found a tick, I was given a 2 pill super dose of doxycycline(500mgx2). While this treatment has been determined to to be +80% effective against contracting Lyme...compared to the full 3 week regimen which is a more sure treatment. I’ll take the super-dose with any deer tick bite that appears to be caught early...good insurance. Just can’t do it excessively to avoid building an immunity to the doxycycline. If the OP is able to take doxycycline, this might be a good option. Obviously a doctor should always be consulted. Caught early, Lyne can be successfully treated. If not caught early the effects can be devastating and untreatable. For the last couple of years I have had excellent success using a product called Cedarcide. I has been very effective deterring ticks, and mosquitoes. I wish the OO well!!

Ticks are a painful occupational hazard here in my part of Australia and carried/dispersed predominantly by kangaroos. Government is not admitting to Lyme disease but I have been plagued by numerous bites many times and they have at times made my outdoor life a misery. The bigger paralysis ticks can kill your cat or dog too if they are not discovered and removed.

Positive thoughts and prayers for you, Cat. Tick bites bother me more the past ten years or so than when I was younger. Last year I picked one up at a shoot and I know it wasn't on me for more than 6 hours but that bite site got red real quick. I headed to the clinic when I got home. The nurse practitioner didn't waste any time getting blood samples to check for Lyme's, Rocky Mt and Anaplasmosis. I told her several people tell me we don't have Lyme's in this area. She said " they're wrong. We get several positive tests a year. Anaplasmosis the worst, all three are treated the same and I'm not waiting on test results. Here's your prescription and I'm giving you a shot to start it off." Said she has been testing tick bites all summer. We're in western TN. Test results said I was ok but did find markers for Rocky MT in my blood from a past infection I didn't know I had.

Looks like I'm ok brothers and sisters not feeling anything other than the recovery from medicine last Thursday and Friday . This last infusion beat me a new one.The bright side is I get like King Kong then get 2 weeks after that in need of another fix. Vicious cycle caught up in.
All ticks carry don't listen to the nonsense Drs tell us or the fake news. You get the symptoms and are sick whether the pin head gets you or woodie wood eye?
Ticks are biological war fair testing on us and they have been released from Plum Island in NY sound. Read up on it
Its the same problem we have had for years the grants are wasted and the education is not enough or all accurate.
If we got a cure then Big Pharma would have to go out of business and no politician will allow that they get to many kick backs while we pay with dollars and sickness.

A tick isn't anything to panic about by any means at all been bit many times and only got Lyme's 1 time 20 years ago.
Now anyone with other diseases with several I have cause's me to worry. There's a big difference in panic and worry as i see it.
I know if I got it that God would somehow give me the grace to handle it no matter how much it might suck. The thing is God don't twist things the devil does and many dequeues are used in the evil's process. Just this morning when I woke up I felt the spot of the bite and looked at it. Just a little bump is all and tinny mark. The Frankincense and mirth oil is wonders.
If you have an autoimmune decease then there's always cause to worry because you can't get conventional treatment your immune system is compromised.
I got pretty beat up from the infusion last week then next week get it all over again. For all I know the very thing that beats me up and keeping me alive is also helping me with a hedge of protection that i don't know?
Once again doctors still don't know it all the plus or minus of things and everyone is different and their body's that's why they call it science.

I been asked to leave Dr. offices because I laid it them. I said grow a set of them and stand up to me your dealing with to many soccer moms. LOL
I have Dr. friends and so much so cardio Dr. would call me at times Glenn you out hunting and yes I am. Are you in a blind? Nope I climbed the tree. What are you kidding your not I told you not to. So what then he stopped calling me I wouldn't listen.
Only we can live our lives and several times I was out hunting and having issues could have died in bush. So what even a Coyote would probably spit me out.
Things are different now I take less chances simply because I can't. Not because I'm smarter because I'm not. You all know that.
As long as I can stay healthy enough to work and be with my wild dog and help as many as I can along the way I'm ok until I get to go home.
I understand fully what cash is saying and you don't know how wealthy you are if you have health.
This is something far to many take for granted. I always thought I was bullet proof till one day I found out I wasn't. Then it came time to pay the fiddler and he wanted my bank account number and did he ever drain it. LOL

It's Lyme, not Lymes.
Don't believe half of what the CDC says about it... or anything else for that matter.
The video 'Under our skin' is an eye opener. I bought the dvd, but think you can watch the whole thing on youtube for free.
Any doctor that told me that two pills of Doxy would cure Lyme would be added to the long list of incompetent quackoffs I'll never go back to.
A coworker told me his doctor prescribed him one single pill of Doxy for a tick bite, I laughed and told him he might as well have been prescribed a jelly bean.

The abbreviated Doxy course is indicated after potential exposure to decrease the chance of transmission, not for treatment of established disease. Been doing it myself for almost 15 years, after my wife contracted Lyme, and remain unscathed despite frequent potential exposure...live on a farm in a high incidence area, veterinarian, hunter, etc. Did it last night, in fact, after finding 3 attached...one Lonestar and two deer ticks, plus 2 more Lonestars on the pantlegs. Don't depend on it it completely, but part of the regimen. I even take it the day of and the day after our local 3D shoots, when I know damn well I'll pick some ticks up, even with treated clothing. Maybe I'm just lucky, I guess...

Everyone needs to know Jeff is the guru on Lyme. I happen to like Lyme's better to me it sounds better than just plain Lyme being said. That reminds me of what you put on garden or grass to change PH. Everyone knows Cat tries to change English. LOL
That's why I always say I speak Catineice. All tribes have their own language. Get it. LOL
I have to say all the stuff Jeff sent me about the Lyme was a world of great information and note worthy. Educated me a lot more than I previously knew about it before read it.
I do not believe they still know enough about these ticks. I have a buddy that's a turkey killer and he said he had it 4 times last year. He's out every day of all seasons killing turkeys so he's always in the ticks. He's hard core and he just shrugs it off like its nothing.
Now I asked him did he have it 4 times or was it reoccurring and he said no Dr. said 4 times and was treated for it. I'm skeptical of that. He said he is also.
Dr. knows best well that's not really how it is. Very few Dr's really know about ticks and Lyme and all the many types of diseases they can carry.
Do not forget they have been released on us from the gov. Plum island was the place it all started the bio lab. The gov. took the Nazi scientist's at the end of the war gave them visa's and let them become citizens and used their knowledge and thus the bio warfare was created.
And who but big pharma was involved how is this so hard for many not to understand what is none and has been going on for years to us.
GMO and all the autoimmune people have today. I have talked to so many people who have them and that have had Lyme I can't count them all so ask yourself why?
Whats the actual answer? Who did this to us! Our parents didn't have any of this and now with reports of flesh eating ticks? Is it true or not or is it another Hoax?
I argue with Dr's all the time about what I really have that say it's an autoimmune and this is the treatment that's 30,000.00 2 times a months so I'm a government drug addict that needs his fix so I can walk upright every 2 weeks. Now it don't stop there among all else that's wrong.
I still believe I could very well have Lyme that has gone into my cells somehow and has been dormant and or reoccurring somehow.
Dr's say no Glenn we have tested you over and over and its always been negative lately.
I don't feel as though the testing is correct? They don't care they are making mega bucks off me so whats it to them they don't want me cured.
Think about that along with all the many others afflicted with these decease's and you have your answer to this world. I have to go out with dog now in yard and do a little work so i'm spraying up again as well as the dog.

Any vector can transmit Lyme disease! I’ve had it for 20+ years off and on because it wasn’t caught early. It disrupted my life in a big way ! ( still does ) Hate them ! Prayers up .

It is interesting that those who don't trust doctors and don't believe them or "Big Pharma" tend to go to the doctor and consume medications at a much higher rate.
Go figure.

Is this for real? I mean where does one even but frankincense or myrrh these days? And why would anyone think these are effective treatments for a tick bite and affiliated diseases?

Either that are these ticks are becoming immune to it and now super ticks strains?
I'm wondering if this medicine I get is an attractant to them now. These were both deer ticks too.
Deer are along side my yard eating honey suckle they busted out Sunday morning when dog went out in yard.
I been putting The Frankincense / Mirth oil on bite marks. The one bite has a bump.
I literally drenched the dog in the spray.

I've had a big beard all my later years and never had any problems like this. I don't know if this is possible but have been thinking has this IVIG Immunoglobulin medicine I get every 2 weeks changed my chemistry so ticks are attracted to me now? I asked pharmacist and they said gee don't know. trying to find out if there's any drug interactions with Doxy and all that I am taking so see what or how to treat if I get Lyme.
Hear by the grace of God go I again. LOL
My buddy's wife just got bit last week and now shes got Lyme again. I don't know how many times they both have had it now.
Ticks are bad this year I see.
Going to look into that Brevecto. Dog has a sorresto on now its due to change out.
Going to spray my chair and bed as well. I guess rather than have the mint outside might bring in house my plants? LOL

I contracted ehrlichiosis from a tick bite years ago. I became chronically and acutely ill but refused to visit a doctor. Near the end of it I developed severe headaches, fever with shaking chills, and the worst malaise I've ever known. Unfortunately the crescendo of symptoms and illness hit just as I arrived in a remote camp. Fortunately I had the right combination of medications in my kit and was able to get on them immediately. I couldn't hunt or even eat for a couple days, but I got well and went on to enjoy a great trip.
Ticks are bad news. The diseases they carry and transmit are very serious and capable of changing your plans...if not your life.

Sure changed my life. I lost two years of it. It was a most depressing, dark, unrelentingly painful, lonely and helpless time. Practically indescribable. Now, I'm glad I didn't die. Then, there were many times it didn't seem like my worst option.
My silver lining is, by the time I crawled (at times literally because I couldn't walk) out the other side in spite of them, I was keenly aware of and responsible for my own state of health, and the utter incompetence of much of our health care system.
If your doctors are wrong, ignorant of facts, and/or arrogant, you gotta be tough.

All the natural stuff doesn't work on ticks or mosquitoes neither does skin so soft. They have a chew tablet for dogs that works great I don't remember the name of it but it readily available . We had to pull many ticks from our dog everyday after we gave him the tablet it was none ! He was bringing them into the house .
