I was looking for some short osage staves to build a couple of kid's bows. Contacted Arvin, never having talked to him before. He was great, offered more than I needed, excellent material, and would take no money for his osage and trouble. His place is really nice and it was a pleasure to visit w/ him and see his bowyering exploits, which are wonderful! He is a true craftsman, and a really good person to interact w/! Wonderful experience for me, meeting one of us LW'ers in the flesh, and an excellent bowyer to boot! Thanks again Arvin, really enjoyed the visit! Wyatt

You just cant beat Arvy, he is a good man. He sent me a few surprises a couple weeks ago. I truly appreciate them both, just haven't had 2 seconds to do anything with them!

Arvin is a great guy. I got to meet him at Mojam. His wife is a deadly accurate shot with her bow.

Oh, and his wife - he had all these trophies, medals, plaques all over his shop and house, turned out his wife is/was a champion longbow/recurve archer! Amazing! Didn't get to meet her, but the trophies are a testament to her obvious, very talented skills w/ the bow!
