I wish Bear would bring back the 62” Tiger Cat with a zebra riser. What Bear would you like to see brought back?

Number 2 take down limbs.

I agree with Kevin. A new version Minute man riser with modern made long bow or recurve limbs would be awesome.

If I had any say it would be a Static Griz in T/D.

Craig I just checked i have 26 Tigercats . I do not have any of the 56" Lots of the zebra woodrisers! A 1968 was my first bow. Nate

Had a 62"- 45# Tigercat back in the early 70s, the zebra wood was outstanding along with the shooting, ended up giving to a friend when I got a Ben Pearson Pony 50#+. Looking back the earlier bows seem to be better than the so-call customs.

They made the Tigercat in 58" in 1970 and 71, and they were awesome bows too. Didn't much care for the 76 model they were calling the poor man's Kodiak. It was also made for K-Mart and dubbed the Panther in that 56" model. The 62" ones were great bows. Never got real swooney over zebrawood either, but did like the ones with bubinga risers.

The Tigercat showed up in 1964 as a 62" bow, most likely because in that year...a redesign time, the Grizzly went from a 62" bow to a 58" bow and the Tigercat basically took that spot for a 62" recurve.

If I can dream a little, how about a Kodiak Hunter with black glass and a zebra wood riser with a black stripe.

From: BOWNUT
Date: 15-May-20

I have a 69 that is 60".When did thy quit making them?

From: goldentrout_one
Date: 15-May-20

Bring back the phenolic super kodiak, but this time a) DON'T DRILL THE HORRIBLE QUIVER MOUNT HOLES IN THE RISER, and b) CHANGE THE GRIP SHAPE TO THE GRAYLING ERA AND NOT THE CURRENT HORRIBLE UNSHOOTABLE RISER SHAPE.

Introduce a retro take-down riser (you know, without the compass???)

Forget the 1959 Kodiak - throw that form into the landfill and do a 1960 Kodiak re-issue instead with the palm-swell grip.

From: George D. Stout
Date: 15-May-20

BOWNUT, the 69's are 62" bows, so if you have one marked 60", it's a freak. In 70 they made them 58".

They stopped making them for the same reason most other companies got out of the recurve business. The compound bow. Bear made their last version before moving to Gainesville and we know the history from then on.

The first Tigercat was in 1964 , the last one was made in 1978.

1964 to 1969 was 62"amo.

1970 was 58"amo.

1977 to 1978 was 56"amo.

( 1971 to 1976 none where made )

The glass on this is a redish brown. Its very pretty. It was gifted to me by my former boss.He only used it for target shooting when he was in college. A non hunter.

BOWNUT your Tigercat is a 1969.

62"amo

African Bubinga Riser

Brass Standing Bear Coin

Cinnamon Brown Limb Glass

White Tips

9N-serial number prefix means made in 1969.

Came in 20# to 50# draw

Tigercat ( bow only ) sold for $55.00 in 1969

Tigercat bowhunter set sold for $75.00 in 1969

Could be ordered in camo for $5.00 extra

From: Nemophilist
Date: 15-May-20

BOWNUT I don't know why your Tigercat says 60"amo. Tigercats came in 62", 58", and 56". Maybe it was marked wrong.

From: BOWNUT
Date: 15-May-20

I guess it's a freak. I know it's the original finish.

It draws smooth and shoots quiet. The above description is perfect other then the AMO. Thanks for your input.

Bownut, likely mismarked, but you would measure and check it. Beautiful bow by the way and Ebay sellers have already been peeking into the Leatherwall since the Tigercat entries have gone up in asking price.

I always liked the grip on a Tigercat and my grandad picked one up at a yard sale for me but it got stolen. I thought they were pretty bows.

Footed Shaft has a 50#er, been there for awhile, get it while the gettin's good :)

From: TrapperKayak
Date: 19-May-20

I think the grip on mine would fit my wife better. Its a bit small for me. I had a Zebra Griz that I gave to a struggling young vet with a shoulder injury that was light for me at 40# but had a larger grip that fit my hand perfectly. I wish the Tigercat had the same grip as that Grizzly.

My Tiger cat is 62" reddish brown glass, silver bear, & beautifully stripped Zebra wood. What year would it be? Thanks.>>>----> Ken
