A question for you guys that hunt with Hill back quivers.Do you think the soft Hill quiver would be safe enough to carry broad headed arrows in it? Or would one be better off to use the more heavier and stiffer leather? And of course I would be putting a piece of carpet in the bottom.I have the soft model and it works great with field points and kudos, but not sure on broad heads tho.

Thor, that's what they were made for...all type of arrows. They are more durable than the term "soft" implies.

X2 what George said.
You can also slide a thick piece of leather into the bottom from the inside for added protection if you're concerned about it.

Or a piece of a mousepad. I acquired a few of the thick ones some time ago now.

Not being a jerk here but exactly what is a "soft" Hill style quiver? If it us made of soft leather I don't understand how it could be a Hill style quiver.

HH Archery offers 2 styles. The soft leather is thinner and more flexible. The other Hill quiver is thicker and more break in time.

Handmade of top grain and extra quality Latigo leather. Rugged style and quality. 20" and 22" lengths, right or left-handed. Hand-laced. Available in a very heavy, stiff leather or a softer, more conforming leather. This is the quiver that Howard Hill used for hunting.

I guess. I've been using them since the '80's though and really never considered size, depth, or width to have nearly as much to do with it as the way it fits/hangs on the archer and that it be made from good medium or heavy weight latigo like it was originally described.
