Well, the space that was formerly know as empty cooler!

the worm crew... Little worm, Grub worm and myself went out on a regulary scheduled pig hunt last night. Wind was good, pigs were active. I was fortunate enough to take this fine specimen just before dark. She is aproximately 200 lbs. Took her with a beautiful footed doug fir and a Bear greenie. Arrow went in one shoulder and punched through the other before she broke it off. Blood trail the entire way with only a 100 yard recovery.

Grub worm says he missed one, but I think that due to his 18" draw length, he just bounced off and doesn't want to admit it!

Little worm (Clint) shot one in the pig. He believes low chest, but no blood and no recovery. Arrow passed clean through. Can't eat this way, but as it's been said to me, "if they're bleeding, they aint breeding"

Not sure I believe a bleeding hog woudn't breed though. They are resiliant!

It is a good pig, but maybe not as big as the picture makes it look. The angle helps and I try to stand a little away as I tend to make good animals look small.

I and friends have killed some hefty pigs on our lease. Many at the 200lb and upwards of 300lbs.

I would say this was definately 200 and maybe a shade heavier. Our pigs are very fat compared to other parts of the country and reach these sizes at a younger age than most.

I shot her with a 57#@32" Mountain Monarch. This was a text book harvest. Arrow went in one shoulder and punched through the other side before breaking the arrow off in the middle of the footing. Tough thing to do.. break ebony like that. The actual footing joint stayed intact and sound. BigJim

Wild Bill, I wish they did have elevators in them! As it is, the old lady who lived in a shoe would have more than enough room in them for all of her kids and room for sleep overs too!

Congratrs on the sow. I agree with you, not sure a bleeding hog wouldn't breed. Hogs reproduce like rats.
