At least that's the suggestion in the CE Spine Chart. I'm not sure what the actual defelction is.

It depends on the CE model of shaft. The spine range defections will go from 0.418-0390 inches or 75.4-80.8 lbs

Carbon Express Heritage 250 recurve bow the chart says 64-69 lbs. before going to 350’s I always take that with a grain of salt and head weight makes a difference and how arrow shelf is cut. So some times charts are a little off for me, draw length thing ? Chart says recurve bow Heritage arrow 350 , 82-87 lbs. before going to 450’s and big question is at what length arrow is cut to. Many + or - their

They can run on the stiff side but not that stiff. When I shot 83# I shot 350's.

The published deflection of carbon and aluminum shafts is not the same as the AMO spine in pounds because there are two different measurement systems.

If you multiply the carbon spine deflection by 0.825 you will get the AMO deflection, then divide 26" by the AMO deflection to get pounds spine.

A .413 carbon shaft is .341 in the AMO system and the spine is 26/.341 = 76.3 pounds spine.

There is a paper on my website that goes through the math to translate between the two systems. www.oakcreekarchery.com

The poundage of the spine defections I listed above are based on deflections at 28". I plugged them into Stu's calculator.
