From y’all’s Experiences how do the spines-compare across the different arrow materials?

If they have the same deflection at the same span measurement they have the same spine.
Carbon isn't particularly consistent in some brands and it isn't particularly consistent arounbd the shaft in some brands.
Aluminum and carbon are spined over a 28" span, wood is spined over a 26" span.
To get the AMO spine deflection (which is how wood is measured over a 26" span) take the carbon deflection, for instnace .500 and multiply it by .825 which will give you .412 which would be 63lb. spine AMO measurement.

And that is "static" spine. Dynamic spine is a whole other matter.

Dynamic spine though is a product of static spine. And that is predictable as well based on some pretty simple calculations of arrow length, tip weight, string material, centershot and do on. The only element that is difficult is the affect of the person shooting.
Spine isn't nearly as mysterious as many make it seem.

Ain't that the truth. But it sure baffles alot of people nowadays.
On your carbons, even if they are static spine the same as the wood, they react differently due to the inherent quality of the composite. You can get close for sure and that's just what you want. Static spine is extremely important since as Frank said, it's basically where you work your gozintos from to get a dynamic spine that works well. Us old guys don't have to fool much with tuning since we know from experience which static spine to choose according to our own setups.

I know if I have 3 arrows, wood - aluminum - Carbon, and all are spined .500 the wood and aluminum will behave in a similar fashion, but the carbon, not so much.

You can download a paper on the spine tester page that goes through the math to get .825 as the ratio.
Since a different span and weight are used for wood and aluminum/carbon I used beam deflection theory to solve for this number.
